Yet another vote for Mitchum. Tried the Arm & Hammer stuff but it would leave marks on my clothing.
Mitchum’s the strongest stuff around, but I don’t care for it.
I’m using Degree right now. I’ve noticed that there’s a “Degree Clinical Strength” being sold now, which is much pricier, but is supposed to be more effective. I haven’t tried it myself, though.
Before Degree, I used Speed Stick 24/7, which I felt had rather pleasant scents and was reasonably effective.
For years now, I’ve been wearing Old Spice Red Zone, and it’s never let me down (the way some of the things I tried before did). But I’ve never tried skipping a day.
Hubby and I both like Degree, but when I was pregnant, anything perfume-y made me ill. So I bought Sure Clinical Strength unscented. I LIKE it, it works beautifully (and is being used by hubby, me, and my 12-year-old son.) My husband’s not so fond of it - I think that the lack of “perfumey” scent makes him feel less fresh, but it definitely works: the 12-year-old no longer smells like the inside of a gym bag on days when he has PE. This is a good thing!
What he said. I swear I’ve been using this every day since I was in 7th grade (I think when it first came out and gels were new), and it’s never let me down. They used to make both a deodorant and a deodorant/antiperspirant, so make sure you get the latter if expecting to stop sweat.
A weird thing - in the last 5 years or so, I’ve become super-sensitive to deodorant. Anything other than my usual brand gives me a rash. Luckily, I’m very happy with my usual brand - Arm and Hammer Ultra Max Solid. Any scent is OK - they’re pretty mild-smelling.

Old Spice Classic Wide Solid, Original Scent. Smells so good it’s almost a mild cologne. My local Dollar General quit selling it, so I bought it in bulk from Amazon, for a cheaper price. I should be good for years!
Edit: When Old Spice Classic Original Scent started getting hard to find I tried other Old Spice varieties, and a few other non-chalky/powdery brands. All of them nearly gagged me with a strong chemical smell, or whatever that deodorant smell is.
Old Spice High Endurance, I forget exactly what scent it is. It’s not the original though.
Another Degree vote here, although almost anything that ISN’T a gel seems to work fine for me. Degree smells better than most.
This. Stick. not gel. A real man’s deodorant. Never had stinky pits using it, even on the hottest and most humid of days.
Old Spice “Showtime.” “Aqua Reef” and original scent aren’t bad either.
I’m using Old Spice High Endurance Fresh right now. I prefer Arm & Hammer, but somehow last time I bought the stuff, this is what came home with me. I’m still not sure what happened.
