It’s been 15 years since I’ve had a pup. What are everyone’s favorite chew toys for their doxies? Besides the kong, which I already have on order. This fella is definitely a chewer.
My Crew like The Little Things of Nature. Mice, squirrels, rabbits. They all liked lizards for about the first bite. They must be awful for a Dox not to eat it.
They used to get Pig Ears and Bully Sticks, but not for a while now. Not really big chewers. But they are all pretty much full grown now.
Lewis always loved a good chew of a pig’s ear, too. But I had to keep an eye on him. He’d manage to eat way more of it than he should and always horked it back up. Ugh.
I hope the new guy grows out of chewing, too, as Lewis did. He was going to town on a soft chew toy in the video, though. I’m worried for my footwear!!

I don’t know why, but there is a commerical from Youtube that would not embed here. But if you use 2015 Dachshund Doritos commerical you will find it The dog is a real carpet shark.
