I saw an ad in the paper today for an ISP called Great Barrier Reef. I was intrigued by the monthly price–less than half of what I am paying now for Earthlink’s dial-up service. They seem to offer all the same services that Earthlink does, as well.
Am I missing something here, or is this a really good deal? Has anyone here ever tried them? What do you think?
Juno/netzero weigh your ass down with crap software/adware.
Personally I think dial up is dead. DSL! but I suppose you probably don’t need it huh?
10/month is pretty much the standard for non-brand name companies. They usually offer the same service or so, just make sure they don’t sell your information or whatnot.
Well, Harmonix, if DSL can’t make this board any faster, what use is it, then?
I’ve seen other ISPs with the same monthly price, but, as you said, there’s always a catch–ads, spam, no web space, no Usenet, not really unlimited, etc. I’m not seeing the catch here.
