I mainly use the android web client on Chrome for SDMB it seems to have gotten worse recently, particularly about caching unfinished posts. It used to be really good at it, you could go to a different post or close the page completely and it would always save your draft. Now it never will (in the last couple of weeks it it changed IIRC). No feedback from the site before losing the draft, doesn’t matter what network or reliability. I’ve lost loads of unfinished posts that way, it’s pretty frustrating.

Drafts are saved on the server by Discourse itself, not the web client. If you have a flaky internet connection while you’re composing a post, that saving can’t happen.
In that circumstance you’ll often get a pop-up about a draft being edited in another window and what to do about that. The real meaning of that message is that the draft on the server and the draft on your device are out of sync and it’s trying to ask you which draft you want to preserve. [Ignore] means use the draft on the device. [Reload] means use the draft on the server. [Ignore] is almost always the right answer since the device draft is newer than the server draft.
This may or may not be your problem, but it may help you understand some part of whatever your issue is. Good luck.
Also … All Discourse-related tech questions go in Site Feedback. ATMB is ONLY for questions about SDMB administration or moderation.
