Sorry for giving the wrong impression. I wasn’t disagreeing with you. You made a valid point that the deaths among the cast members is something that would be statistically expected.
I was just reminded by your post of the movie I mentioned and how it has completely defied the statistical expectation.
They need new writers. I watched the show that followed and it had me laughing in the 1st minute.
The original show had much more going for it and they tailored the writing to the actors.
Regarding the Wheelers. The last time I saw either in anything was on The Big Bang Theory.
Spiner played himself in a “self-deprecating” sort of way. I.e., he was a clueless nothing. O’Donnell played Amy’s mother in a video chat. Later in the series they replaced her with Kathy Bates. I wondered if she wasn’t up to doing in-person sitcom stuff or what. I guess she can.
Plot idea: The latest failure in their life is they bought a load of Data action figures only to find out they are worthless.
