I think I like the trade rules the way it is.
Having the ability to trade rights is the reward for being ahead of the curve (getting a David Johnson in the 5th, or a Jordan Howard in the 11th). We’re all starting with the same set of information initially.
In any case, its a quirk that distinguishes this league from all the others in a time where we all (probably) play multiple leagues that are (probably) all very similar.
I have no opinion about the PPR issue, on the one hand it gives more value to RB vs. WR (when RB is already being considerably diminished), on the other hand it induces even more scarcity for the best RBs.
One problem: It won’t let me view it because I’m not a commissioner.

Where are you getting that from? I drafted him and ended the year with him on the roster. I don’t recall cutting him, but then again he was on the IR at one point.

I’m emphatically in favor of stopping the trading of in-round keepers. IOW, gaming the system by moving back in the round where you have a keeper. Gives people at the front or back of the round a huge advantage. People in the middle get fucked.
I have less of a problem with trading legit keepers, though it does really make the balance of power way out of whack when someone has 4 or 5 excellent keepers. You can argue they earned it, but it does tend to create a nigh insurmountable advantage.
I’m also in favor of .5 PPR. The RB value table is getting pretty whack with there only being 4-5 legit bell cows in the entire league. In auction formats it’s less problematic than snake drafts.

Ah yeah, definitely look at the draft results page (or the eligible keeper list I post) rather than that page - that page doesn’t keep track of who drafted who.
By archive, do you just mean drafts and rosters and results from previous years? On the main league page there’s a drop down box under the league name that says 2017 - you can change it to another year.
Thanks for clarifying, I did read that wrong. That being the case, I’ll throw Hyde back, and keep Parker in the sixth, Eifert in the seventh, and Howard in the ninth.

5 1st- or 2nd-round RB’s gone and me at the 10th pick. I’m so boned it’s not even funny. Guess there’s always next year…maybe I can get a flier or two that’ll be worth keeping.
Point taken on Varlos giving up his 5th for your 7th. That actually is quite a bit to pay in order to choose Johnson over Bell. I’m out of step with the world on this one and would rather have Bell than Johnson even as a straight up choice. And I do want to be clear that I have no objections to this specific trade - it is within the rules and fair enough to both parties. It does certainly allow you to gain the benefit of 4 valuable keepers, so perhaps violates the spirit of the 3 keeper rule, and perhaps that is why this one made my spidey sense tingle. If you had instead chosen to keep Johnson and then trade him as a kept player I think it sidesteps most (all?) of my concerns.
Anyway - I think we should vote on any rule changes this year for effect next year.

Yeah, that’s a glitch and I’m not sure how it came about. It won’t matter, it doesn’t affect the league going forward - what you see in the draft results page covers the keepers people will have and everyone will be drafting the rest of their team tomorrow.

I managed to lose my notes for this league during a brief power issue. It’s not so bad in an auction league because once someone nominates a guy you forgot you wanted you can bid for him, but in a standard draft that can screw you over, forgetting some deep sleepers you really want. Now I’ve gotta try to remember who it is I wanted.
I’m keeping players in rounds 4 and 9. I pick in the middle in every round. If anyone wants to trade up from the back of those rounds, I’ll swap in those rounds for a pick swap in the next.
So - for example, if you pick last in the fourth and first in the fifth, you’d get to pick in the middle of the fourth and again in the middle of the fifth. I’d move to the back of the fourth and then pick first in the fifth.
