And I thought Jamaal Williams was a bit of a reach at the time…
Yahoo rated my draft as an A. I was shocked when I saw that, because I did almost no prep. But to be honest, I was using ADP and their ranking a fair amount as I built my queue (adjusting a bit for personal preference), so maybe it’s not so surprising. Plus Yahoo probably overvalues all my old WRs in this format.
My biggest regret at this point is the Darnold pick. I would probably been better off getting a safe backup like Alex Smith, because it’s real easy to see a scenario where Deshaun is hurt again and Darnold loses the job to McCown or something.
Another week where the #1 scorer beats the #2 scorer. That seems to happen more than by chance, but it’s probably just confirmation bias.
Anyway, I’m in last, and my TE starter is done for the season. My three highest individual scorers last week where my #2 QB, my #4 RB and my #WR, all on the bench. Gonna be another long season…
So I’m drawing a blank on this, which is embarrassing for someone who is now the commissioner.
How do we handle waiver wire in this league? Do we just use the default Yahoo settings, or is it something more complicated?
We’ve been using the yahoo default for as long as the league has been open I think, which is a rolling list. It’s kind of old fashioned and I use FAAB (auction style) in my leagues, but I figured I introduced enough changes a few years ago and didn’t try to push that one.
Here are some rankings showing actual points you scored, potential points you could have scored if you started only the highest scorers on your team, and the percentage of actual / potential.
Potential is a measure of how well you assemble your team through the draft, trades, and waivers. Coach is a measure of how well you choose your starters. Actual is the combination of the two.
This is just the Week 1 stats. Week 2 to follow shortly, and then Week 3 either tonight or tomorrow. New weeks will be posted on Wednesdays to give yahoo time to make stat corrections. He Hate Me - Week 1

Strong start by The Mad Hermit! If anyone would like their name changed to something else, let me know. In order to keep the tables readable on a phone, I’d prefer to keep the names to 7 or 8 characters max.
The green and red numbers show your change in ranking for that table compared to the previous week. If you were 5th last week, and are 3rd this week, you would see a +2.
Note that Week 1 stats don’t show season totals because there’s no point, but the season 1 stats do exist; they’re the same as your week 1 stats. He Hate Me - Week 2
Looks like that sudden Brady decline may be happening. In retrospect, it’s a good thing I drafted Goff as a backup. On the downside, I sat him this week when he scored 45 points.
