Yesterday (Election Day) I was driving down the road and spotted a guy standing on the shoulder who apparently decided he wanted to help out his side by sending a message to folks on their way to the polls. Not a thing wrong with that, of course. Democracy in action.

He was wearing a sandwich-board sign, on which was hand-lettered – quite sloppily at that – “PREZ IS A IDIOT”

Much as I wanted to, there was too much traffic for me to pull over and take a picture. But I got a good laugh nonetheless. Just wanted to share.

Perhaps he was referring to Roland “Prez” Pryzbylewski.

Couple of weeks ago, I was on a bus that passed by a similar guy. Its route in that area loops around to serve a shopping center so I got a good look as it came back around. Turned out to be not just one guy but a whole group holding a “4 more years = $4/gal. gas” thing at a gas station, which was selling gas for about half that.

I find myself recalling the words of George Carlin at times like these;

“I have a right to my opinion, and in my opinion, you have no right to your opinion!”
