Hello MMP....I'm Back!

The snow seems to have slowed a bit - wonder how much more will fall? It looked from the radar like there was another big mass o’weather behind this one.

Oh well - we’re indoors and warm - that’s all that matters.

So the females are attracted to the males with a large ligula.
Interesting read.

I’ve sent off my emails to the realtors, one in MD and one in WV. Something is wrong with my email, I saw the one I had sent earlier was in the draft file and never got sent.

The snow is really coming down.

I just told Weather Channel’s desktop app to go pound sand. I had to shut it down and restart it to check the temperature whenever I woke my computer up (i.e. every morning when I get up, every afternoon when I get off irk). I downloaded Weatherbug’s app and it’s much less annoying. Plus it gives me the current temperature in my taskbar.

It’s really coming down outside now. The plants are turning white. My poor little African violet isn’t getting much window time this winter.

…are death; but after taxes, all that’s left is a really tired feeling.

Ok, now listen up Maryland/DC area people. RT is going to have to drive right up I-95 and through all of your snow and crap today and tonight. You had all better get your act together and get out there and start shoveling so his path is clear! :dubious:

I just love when network interrupts the show I am watching to tell me it’s snowing outside. They apologize for the interruption and still run their mouths to tell what I can see if I look out my window.

I’m really getting grumpy.

It snowed less than 2" today last night in beautiful northern Illinois and bunches o’ schools are closed. We have turned into wimps! It’s official. I have turned into a winter hater.

As far as TWC, they don’t give me the local forecast on the 8s any more. I get some dumb@ss scroll of temps all over the US of A and I only care what the weather is in Elgin Illinois. I’m ashamed to say I just listen to the forecast on AM radio. I am officially old.

Not according to the screenshot that I have, unphotoshopped.

I must be missing something, 'cuz all anuses have an associated J on that screen.
ETA: Some frakkin blizzard. We have about a half inch of snow after 2 hours of it coming down.

Which direction to you dookie butts expect it to go, up, from right to left already?

It has been going right to left here, with occasional gusts of left to right.
It’s very windy.

I’m not doing laundry today. Maybe I’ll get a chance another day this week. If not I can get by doing laundry every other week.

Howdy from da cave. I talked to OYKW a little while ago and told him not to come over. I have no idea if’n I have sump’n contagious or not but I think it best not to take a risk. Of course, the nurse in him wants to come make sure I’m ok. The grumpy old man in me just wants to left alone when I’m sick. Matter of fact I may even just go to bed shortly and bundle up under the covers.

flytrap the direction I want snow to go is away from me.

Feel better, swampy.

You guys may be off the hook. RT won’t be on 295 until 8 or so tonight. Hopefully it’s better by then.

That’s why you have those lovely mountains to the northwest of you. We’re catching the snow so you won’t have to turn the heat up in south Jawja.

You’re welcome.

Supper was early since we didn’t do lunch - the hamburger helper sweet and sour chicken but with poke instead of chicken - it was pretty good. And the cake I made is not bad, altho I wish I’d added vanilla.

Not a lot of snow on the ground, but another blob of weather is moving in from Virginia, and it’s getting colder and colder. Not sure if I’ll go in tomorrow or not - as cold as it’s supposed to be, I fear the roads will stay icy till the sun comes out.

I’ve gotten about half of my yarn scraps sorted, so I guess I should get back to it. rah.

I lit the grill and have a couple steaks on it in the blowing snow. Screw Snowmageddon '14, I’m hongry.

Seeing as I have three interviews coming up, I’m trying to research interview questions but somehow I keep ending up here.

Hereya go, Sticky!!

snerk

While looking through the job postings, I found an advert that stated “All applicants must be computer illiterate”.

I was actually quite interested in the job, so applied, and mentioned that I assumed that statement was a typo in the cover letter. Got a very fast reply, saying thanks for pointing it out, yes, that was a mistake.
Oh, and they couldn’t open my .doc CV file (resume to most of you), so could I resend it as a JPEG?

They… may have been right the first time

So I had 2 cars almost crash into me. And it hasn’t started snowing yet. They also haven’t brined the roads yet.:smack: And the hockey game IN PHILLY! got postponed. Thus endeth dogbutler’s snow rant. There was woman wandering around with a gallon of milk, and a loaf of bread at work today.
