Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 28 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 48 for the day. This is Winter in south Jawja for sure!
I feel, well, maybe a little better but not much. Now tummy is wantin’ to be a little upset but I’m also a little hongry. At any rate I shall go into irk. If I decide I feel too bad I can always leave.
I just looked out back - it appears the neighborhood has been plowed. So, do I drive down my unplowed driveway or do I stay home? I really should go into the office - we shall see…
There is no snow here which is just as well because the UK is crap at dealing with it. Instead it’s sunny and quite mild out there, I have a lovely view from my new window so I get to appreciate the scenery.
Not much else to say really, we have a Farmer’s Market on today. I might go and see if they are selling any bargain farmers!
flytrap, Doggio, & Cap’n, you should hang your heads in shame for missing what is probably the greatest setup line in the history of the MMP
Apes, show us your Bikini Bottom!
It is currently 5°, forecasted to all the way up to 14° w/ winds in the upper teens MPH, gusting to mid 20’s MPH. Since salt doesn’t do anything at these temps, I see no purpose to venture out as I’m not going to waste my time spreading the stuff.
It’s a frosty 5 degrees outside with a projected high of 14. It’s sunny and windy.
I feel old, when I was younger I would have been out shoveling and getting my truck out just because I couldn’t stand the thought of not being able to get out. It was a challenge. Now I’m happy I don’t have to go out.
It’s really not much snow out there though.
Gotti, you must get into the witness protection program ASAP or you will be forced to endure a 4 hour spiel on the wonders of the vacoom cleaner. Be prepared to have sand and broken glass spilled on your carpet to demonstrate monster suckage.
It is 7 American degrees outside. We only got a dusting of snow. A dusting. HA-RUMPH. We better get a Blizzard of '93 type storm in March. I’d settle for a Great Snow of '09. I was thinking about taking a walk down to the Botanical Gardens today but, as per The Oatmeal I have decreed it hot chocolate time. And by hot chocolate I mean coffee.
I’m staying home today. In too much pain to go to work. I finally dragged myself out of bed and I’m on the computer now (duh.)
I think in a few minutes, I’ll go back to bed and continue listening to the radio.
I need to get my tank sorted out a bit- I’d be embarrassed to put a piccy up at the moment, with all the algae. Plus I don’t have many fish right now, just lots od anubias.
Anyway;
Happy birthday Spaz!
I got the bike pretty much fixed up today, and had a very quick go at riding it. It’s sooo much nicer to ride than the cheapo one I got when I was about 17, which was less work to get off an push, plus it has brakes that work. It’s quite fun really
Hopefully this will cut down a bit on my car dependency.
Well, that was disappointing, I was hoping for enough snow to shut things down today. Alas, I am up and at work with a two-hour delay. So I did get to laze in bed for some extra time. Unfortunately, one of my friends texted me at 7, and the dog figured out I was still home around 7:30, so there was not much extra lazing. I pulled something in my neck trying to get away from the cat, who was attempting to lick my face, and now I’m just generally crankified for the day.
Realtor is coming tonight to give us some estimates and talk about selling Ye Olde Bell Tower. I wanted to have the whole place totally sterile-clean when she came, but it was not meant to be. She knows we’re in the process of decluttering, and it’s not like we don’t have to replace all the windows and repaint everything, anyway. At least I swept up the dog hair.
Spidey, I am most definitely not interested in a hot-air balloon ride, what with the paralyzing fear of heights and everything. But I have to hand it to the people of Parsippany–they know how to plow a damned road. The way home last night was a huge pain … and then 46 was like a dream in Parsippany. And then I got to Mountain Lakes and they are apparently too rich to know what plows are.
