Or call him Spot, then it’s “Out, damned spot! out, I say”
If you need a butler kind of name, Mr Destiny.
But, if you already have Magic, then what you need is Adventure…
On the butler theme there is Carson from Downton Abbey. Or maybe you are more of a Bates person. Or Alfred from Batman. On the penguin theme, if Penny had been a boy she would have been Oswald Cobblepot.
Spats.
Then you can call him “Spatcat”.
Bates is also a valet, not a butler.
Napalm the Cat!
Yes, I know. But I suspect that when people say “butler” they usually mean a more general “male person in service” and aren’t doing too much distinguishing between a butler, a footman, a valet or a groom. Although the groom would dress very differently. And, as in Mosley’s case, there isn’t necessarily a huge distinction.
Rhett. He’s a Butler, of course.
I can’t see the pictures - they’re gone for some reason - but if his eyes are orange now, don’t expect them to stay that way. We picked up our tuxedo cat at much the same age; she had the most striking pumpkin orange eyes. They were amazing! Alas, they faded over the next months. She now has pretty yellow-green eyes. Still pretty, but not the orange that they were. I liked the orange.
Yes, but those people simply don’t have any class and wouldn’t deserve a feline with such obviously impeccable breeding. [inserts monocle and calls for his driver] ![]()
Michael Jackson?

… or Bob…
I kinda like “Bob” for a cat.
Well, if we’re including the role of “man’s man,” the name obviously must be Mr. French.
Just off the top of my head:
“Didit”
As in: The butler…
Fluppy
Footman might make a great descriptive name, but Valet would make the ketteh smile.
Good Job!
I guess the pictures I posted are gone now since those were the ones from the shelter and we have him home now.
You wouldn’t believe the names we went through and couldn’t agree on. Kitty is a feisty guy and really friendly.
He and my 3 year old have really hit it off. My son started calling him Stewart. I asked him where he got that name from, possibly a cat character from a cartoon or something. My son said, "
Dunno. He’s Stewart."
So with little fanfare, tuxedo cat is now Stewart, or Stewie or Stew. Also, Stew Bear the Chinless Wonder since his chin is white and the rest of his face is black.
Lots of great names you all offered, but cute little boys overrule.
Pics on the way if anyone wants to see.
Sebastian. I love it! (kidding)
Congrats.
And then there’s “Tennessee” as in Tennessee Tuxedo and his Tales. You could shorten it to “Ten” as in : This cat is a purrrfect…
And what did I tell you in post #39? ![]()
