This is gonna kill the joke! Or reveal me as being the biggest pervert on the boards. Or both!
But if you want insight into my dirty little mind, here is how I read the posts. And I’m spoilering it, so as not to offend anyone’s innocence.
then, not-so-innocent Swampy:
Then again with the Swamp-giggles:
Then you:
And the answer to that is, of course…of course we are!
Actually, I don’t watch football at all. I just hate the packers because most of the guys in middle and high school liked them and I decided they lacked state pride. So I cheer for the vikings when I hear a game is on and insult the packers every chance I get.
I watch the Superbowl, but that’s it. MrTao puts up with me asking questions over and over again when he’s watching, but I’m generally not interested. I just want to know what an ‘audible’ is, etc. Then I forget and ask again next year.
Same here, ever since the days of Dan Meredith and Billy Kilmer. So who do the hated Red beans go and draft but my alma mater’s Heisman trophy winning QB, RG III.
Howdy Y’all! I’s all home. Ok have been for a while. N.O.L. at Olive Garden was not bad. I had chikin gnocchi soup and sallit which was surprisingly good. OYKW had chikin fettucine (or however it’s spelled) in alfredo (pronounced al- fred-o) sauce and sallit. He took some of his back to his irkplace to share with somebody cause it was a hyooooooooge portion. Matter of fact first thing he did was ask for a to go container to put some in before he even et. As he put it, I don’t want to give her sump’n I slobbered all in.
Anywho, dindin tonight is forage if’n you’re hongry.
Tao you have a dirty mind. I like that in a person.
Aren’t those things fabuloso!! We’ve got a couple at the top and bottom of the basement stairs as well as in the basement bathroom. I’ve considered putting one in the laundry room, too. Definitely one of the bestest inventions evah!!!
Back from Annapolis - *looooooooooong *day is finally wrapping up. **FCD **picked me up around 2 and we came home to get my car. It took about an hour anna half to get to the marina, thanks to several school buses and some road construction, but we got there before the office closed, so we talked to the marina manager about our plans. Tomorrow’s supposed to be windy from the NNW, and she said such winds tend to empty their little creek. So we’ll take it up on Sunday instead. My car is waiting for us.
Afterwards, we went to a restaurant that **MamaTigs **had told me about ages ago. It was really good, but waaaaaay too much food, so we’ve got tomorrow’s supper in the fridge. Service was kinda slow, which is why we’re home so late. I’m glad to be back.
From the Somewhat Unexepected Response Department:
It was smelling a bit like something was burning and it was hazy outside. I call our neighbors and ask if they were aware of any fires in the area. One of Charlotte’s Bravest said no, but someone would come around for a sniff. I figured someone would get into something like the chief’s car to have a look.
Nope. Next thing I know, the ladder truck pulls out in full scream, turns into the neighborhood and pulls up in front of our house. I guess it was a slow night as these were six guys in the truck and they were in duty uniform, rather than turnouts. They all amble out and we chat a bit before they take off and check out the other streets.
They did at least say that sometimes smells travel along a nearby creek and linger when the weather is conducive to making smells linger. But still…six firefighters in a ladder truck just to check out an inquiry about burning smells?
Evening, all. I’m in beautiful downtown Parsippany, New Joisey. Can’t really afford it but I needed the emotional positivity being around my sister Sweet Adelibes offers; I’ve had a bummer of a week.
I probably won’t post again until Sunday eve, so y’all mind FCM while I’m away.
When the @$#%@^#!%! call for a conference call at 5:30 on a Friday afternoon?!? 2 confernece calls and a 6 hour meeting ,I’m ready to get some Samoans and get medieval on someone.
gotti, 3 routers later, we still have an outside wire problem. the picture seizes up. Durnign my Packers game.:mad::mad::mad:
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis <snerk> 69 <snerk> Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 90 and dry, dry, dry. No big plans for the day, so maybe some pool time this afternoon.
Really. No big plans. Da cave is clean, the laundry is done (well I could iron some shirts), nuttin’ in town we need. Sounds good to me! I will make up lasagna at some point cause folks are comin’ over for N.O.L. after deheathenization tomorrow. OYKW has been talked into makin’ a cheesecake which he does well. So, I guess there is stuff to do. None of that takes real long though. The cheesecake has to bake for a while then set in the oven to do whatever it does but that’s not like work. Same with the lasagna. Boil some noodles, brown some seasoned up ground beast, then layer it all up with some sauce and cheese. A couple hours of doin’ for both, so no biggie.
Well, that was rambly! Now I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy is demandin’ food. I may even go back to bed for a bit. Who knows.
Big day of domestic chores ahead. On the short list is cleaning/fixing the gutters, new posts for the fence in the back yahd, mowing, and a trip to the dump. I think I’ll start by taking Freya to the farmer’s market.
Good (late) morning! I’ve been up since 4-ish. I woke up to pee and couldn’t fall back to sleep. Finally around 5, I gave up and went to the living room to watch my show in Netflix. I’m rewatching Slings and Arrows, and if you’ve never seen it, I can recommend it highly! I ended up watching the last 3 episodes of the first season (each season is only 6 eps) and I was almost done when I heard **FCD **start the shower, so it worked out.
He carried the laundry downstairs and sorted it for me, so when I was done showering, I was able to start the first load, and we went to breakfast. It’s now just a bit before 11, and I’ve got 2 loads on the lines, the third in the washer, I uprooted and tossed my 'mater plants, futzed a little in my studio, emptied, then refilled the dishwasher, swept up a broken glass that a certain evil feline knocked out of the cabinet (stoopit Taz) and vacuumed all but the bedrooms. Oh, and cleaned the cat box. **FCD **has gone to the marina to make sure the boat is ready for the journey tomorrow. And we’re making water for an aquarium water change.
Busy busy busy.
I still have to go to CVS to pick up my meds, then run by the grocery for lunch stuff for tomorrow and all week. And speaking of my meds, I got the report on my bloodwork back - very good numbers. I am pleased.
