West Marine was sold out of pink stuff!! Pretty early in the season for that…
Pink stuff is the anti-freeze that you use in your boat’s plumbing and engine cooling lines for the winter. It’s non-toxic, so come spring, you can just let it drain to the river. We intend to winterize our boat before it’s hauled out, if we can find some pink stuff. Maybe at an auto parts store??
Well, if you can’t find it locally, FCM, don’t underestimate the power of the internet If you can wait a few days, that is.
Weekend, yay! MrTao is going out of town for business for a few days next week, and for some reason he’s worried about ME. O.o Did I mention that we married in our mid-40’s, that I’d never married before and been on my own most of that time with no problems? But with the boys gone, he seems to suddenly need someone to protect and take care of, so I guess I’m it. Don’t get me wrong, his devotion to family is part of why I fell in love and married him, but I’m teetering the line between wanting to keep his ego intact and being glad he’s gone so I can do stuff on my own without a worrywart, lol. Hopefully he gets over this sometime soonish.
Otherwise it’s Saturday and yay! Still no work, but it’s Saturday. I’ll pretend it’s a day I don’t have to feel guilty about not working.
Afternoon! Today I have been to the grocery store and mr ems has washed his work truck and that is about it. Currently we are watching some black and white western movie. I say we I mean he
We are going to go to the movies this afternoon and see The Expendables as it is a coolish rainy day here. It was mr ems turn to pick the movie so I will get my revenge with a nice chick flick next week.
That was the thing - we need to put it in the engine tomorrow right before we shut it down. If we could wait, West Marine was getting an order in on Monday. But no matter - the auto parts store had some -and on sale, to boot!
And I just finished a lunch of scallops, shrimp, and crab leftover from supper. Yum!!!

[li]Farmer’s market - done.[/li]
[li]Gutters cleaned and re-nailed, ladder returned - done and done[/li]
[li]Fence posts and driver bought - done[/li]
[li]Lunch and a nap - over far too quickly[/li]
[li]Fenceposts installed - done, and my biceps are screaming.[/li][/ul]
So, now I need to mow the yahd, take a shower, then light the fire in the 100% new Weber kettle grill we go a couple weekends ago. London Broil and roast corn on the cob are tonight’s menu.
We just got back from a little visit/dindin with some church folk. Got a call earlier this afternoon that the granddaughter of two church members was killed by a drunk driver in Augusta, Jawja Thursday evening. They will be headed over there tomorrow. So, a bunch of us got together and brought food over and had a meal with them followed by prayer. I made some N.O.T. sallit and some tea. So around 40 of us gathered at their home. Marian and Jim were, although sad, happy that so many people showed up to see them. YP lead a very nice prayer. Such a sensless thing to happen to a beautiful 19 year old girl.
I’ve taken some nitenite sinus stuff and am goin’ to lie upon the bed and watch some teevee.
From the Somewhat Unexepected Response Department II:
Last night I let OBL out on the chain in the back. Thru the fence I can see headlights on the bushes across the street, like a car waiting to turn out of the development. When I came back a few mins later to let him in I see the same. Hmmm, that doesn’t seem right; hook the [del]little[/del] medium-sized terrorist to the leash & go out to see what’s going on. Come around the end of the fence from the backyard to see one cop questioning three teens sitting on the curb, one cop questioning one standing separately, & four cops talking in the middle of the street. Yes, this is the entire duty squad in our nice little suburban township. Each one came in their own car, most of the backup cars are parked willy-nilly in the middle of the street & not a one has any whoop-de-whoops flashing. The four go silent & get very -eyed when they notice me appearing out of the darkness.
Since the four kids ended up walking away & w/o any papers in their hands, I’m guessing they were being suspicious by nature of being young & out after dark.
Jr forgot how to walk & somehow hurt his foot stepping off a curb :smack:, which means we didn’t get to watch the [del]idiots[/del] funsters live
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 67 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 90 and dry. Another sniffly, sneezey day for da bear. We are promised rain tomorrow and Tuesday. We shall see.
