Here's The New MMP

GET WELL SOON MOOOOMMMMM

Fingers crossed that Tropical Storm Erika come straight here!

Not going to be a good day. Woke up with very unhappy sinuses and feeling incredibly wrung out. Today’s a seven-hour shift, too. Happy happy joy joy. One good side: the attitude kid is off today, so I don’t have to deal with him, and I overlap both other leads (in fact, all three of us will be present at the same time for about an hour and a half). This will give them opportunity to continue teaching me things I need to know, and they’re both sweet ladies, so it’ll be nice to see them anyway.

I do have tomorrow off work, but have school stuff to finish tonight and tomorrow, plus a class tomorrow. At least Friday’s a short shift.

**flytrap **- these amaryllisdo fine outside year-round. I had them in my yard when I lived in Brooklyn Park (just across the Baltimore line) and I gave some to my mom. The soil in her yard is so doggone fertile, many plants become pests, and she had some of these growing into her azaleas. So I’ve got them now.

Sadly, the soil here sucks, so the ones I planted a few years back aren’t thriving like the ones at Mom’s are.

Time to move the sprinkler…

Same here for some reason. Decongestants are part of my plan for the day. Just one of those days when I can’t quite seem to get started.

You fight ignorance.
Cool!

Planted a couple of tarragon plants over the weekend and I’ve been remembering to water them every day. That helps me remember to water the nasturtium seeds I planted a few days before that. The seeds were years old so they need all the help they can get.

These are both nostaltia plants. I grew them back when my kids were in school and haven’t grown them since. And that’s been awhile.

Get well wishes to Mooms and I’m not touching a viking cooking helmet with a ten foot pole.

Howdy from da cave! No I am not slackin’ off. I put a hunk of roast beast in the slow cooker this mornin’. I came by to check on it and ‘tis done to a turn. I shall put it in da fridge before I leave to go back to irk and heat it up this evenin’. I shall also cook up some rice, succotash, and rolls to go with the beast. YUM!

I do not wanna go back to irk, but go I shall. I have three places to monitor here in the near forty and that will finish all the local stuff up. Next week will be venturin’ to the lower forty. Rah. Also, 'tis a pleasant 77 Amurrkin out and sunny with low humidity. Feels so good!

OK, I need to finish up my sammich and get bzzy again.

Laterz!

Another active duty suicide. SMH.

Stay calm. Just take some Zayban that the nice people at the clinic gave me.
Where is it? Where did I put it?
OH MY GOD WHERE IS THE ZYBAN? Give it to me! Give it to me!

I may have to rethink this whole shower thing.
From what I’m seeing on FB I should bring a bucket of popcorn, sit back and watch the show.
Except for I really truly do not like drama.

My friend’s daughter needs to learn to keep her mouth shut, running to mommy with everything the potential future in-laws are saying is not a good move. Potential future in-laws would do well to shut up as well, especially in front of potential future DIL.

I dropped my phone yesterday afternoon and shattered the screen. It was bedtime so I crashed out and figured I’d deal with it today.

I got up and went to work at midnight. I browsed over to Amazon (on my shattered phone) and ordered a screen, a heat gun, super fine molybdenum wire, and special screen glue. I selected free one day shipping (barely made it! 12:59 am with 44 seconds to spare!) and figured it would come out of the local DC (down the street from work, 29 miles from home) and some guy would drive up to my curb at 8pm in his personal vehicle and hand me a box.

I got home from work a little before 10am and the box was waiting for me. It shipped from VEGAS?! Fucking magic!

Well, things are getting interesting. The headhunter sent me the info about the job, then asked for an updated resume and my salary requirements. I was honest with her about not having used the specific software this company uses, but I also told her I figure that stuff out pretty fast (which is no lie - I taught myself AutoCAD 3D in about 3 days using youtube and playing with it.)

So we shall see if this amounts to anything. If it happens within the next few months, I won’t have to apply for Social Security (I hit 62 in January) and I may well have another 401K account, which works.

Fingers crossed…

How did I not know you kinda sorta lived near me? Hi, kinda, sorta neighbor!! And, yes, Amazon can be pretty amazing with quick delivery.

Howdy from da cave! Another irkday survived. Soon I shall get bzzy puttin’ dindin together. It shall be good and da bear is hongry! I may need to snack on some cheese whilst gettin’ it all ready.

Sorry, DC = distribution center

I live in Phoenix metro

ETA - I’ll still be your neighbor, it’s really just a state of mind

So I guess we’re neighbors in the Mr. Rogers sense of the word!

**FCD **is home and I’ve got a pot of chickie soup started. He wanted soup and I’d thawed some chickie, so it works. In a while, I’ll add some veggies and rice.

And boy, howdy, is this headhunter eager - she sent me the company’s website and the name of the guy who is likely to call. So we shall see…

While dindin was bein’ ingested, OYKW looked at me and said, “this is like goin’ to granny’s for supper.” High praise indeed!

Soup was pretty good. House has been open all day!!

I think I’m going to recline and chill. MWAH!!

Went to the schnozz doc yesterday. More weird physical oddities for me. Seems there are some extra “cells” in my sinuses restricting the flow of air and drainage of snot, which explains the endless congestion and a hair trigger on sinus infections if I have a cold.

Just waiting for the scheduling people to get back and set a date for the roto-rootering.

Ummm, are you sure about that? :o
