maybe he meant he has seen a couple? 'cause, he has.
Hey! Wait a minute! If Hiro can come back from the Future…what if Niki’s doppleganger is really her “future” self???
Maybe he just grew some.
That’s true, but I like kurilla’s explanation. It’s not so much that Peter is immune to Hiro’s powers, though. It’s just that, at that moment, Peter has Hiro’s powers, and so is also unaffected by the time freeze.
Well, everytime we hear him speak Japanese he’s very excited and tends to speak in a higher register. His future self seemed much calmer and more sure of himself so was speaker in lower tones.
See, that’s one thing that kinda bothers me.
Permavirgin, Cheerleader, whatever- she regenerates.
SuperHiro, ConstiPorter- can warp space and time.
The Flying Murse (need a new name for this guy- “Wannabe”?)- can mimic powers of other supers, apparently. Boy, would this power suck if he never met another super.
Air Force One (the flying candidate)- can fly (duh).
PrognostiPainter- can paint the future and is developing an immunity to iocaine powder… uh, heroin.
Telepa-Cop (although I still prefer PsiCop, personally)- can read minds… for a little bit longer, anyway.
And then we have DoppelBanger, who can… kill people and bang political candidates. Oh, she also gets attitude from her reflection. I mean, have we seen any solid evidence that she’s got any super powers other than a split personality? Some have said that it looked like one of the bad guys was ripped in half, but if that was the case surely we, the viewer, would’ve seen more evidence. I didn’t see it, personally- I just saw a lot of blood. Could be explained by homicidal rage-induced strength.
Anyway.
Anyone else notice that FutureHiro had a sword strapped to his back? Seems kinda like overkill for someone who can stop time and teleport… but it’s cool, nonetheless.
One way he could be in two places at once is if he has the power to duplicate himself. If so, let me be the first to coin the nickname multiplici-dad.
Just me, or was the entire exchange between Claire and the Skank ‘Boyfriend’ HORRIBLY out of synch? Did they even move their mouth at all ?!
I think that the Dopplebanger is bedding the canidate to get him out of office, who would vote for some Politician with an affair? The Creditors to the DB obviously dont want the Politician in power.
Hiro said that he didn’t recongnize the guy because he didnt have his scar.
What scar?!
That Hiro was from the future. When Hiro “first” meets Peter, apparently Peter will have a scar.
I’m really surprised at how the conversation has gone for this show. I finished watching this ep and had a giant pit in my stomach, terrified that Heroes had jumped the shark by bringing in the cliche Hiro from the future.
When I first saw Hiro playing with time in the show I was worried because time travel can be the undoing for a show, but they handled it in small chunks and kept it managable. But now we have the Bishop / Cable version of Hiro and I can only see cliche in our future.
I liked the episode on the whole, I agree that it was a good episode after the run of not so goods, but I still worry that this may be a very unstable bridge they’re stepping out onto.

Well, this is technically Hiro’s ‘first’ meeting with Peter… I think the only thing we can assume is that sometime in the future, Peter will have a scar, and that is the face that Hiro is more familiar with.
Ok here’s what I know from an interview Ali Larter did on KROQ (LA radio statn) on 9/20. She talks about the dual nature of humanity (Even bringing up Jungian Theory) About one side of her personality who wants to follow the rules and be a good mother and provide for her son, while the other will protect her son at all costs, break laws to keep things sane. Then in the interview she let’s loose her doppleganger’s name:
Jessica
The interview can be found here
Did she let the name slip out? Who knows. It’s at 5:10 of the audio file.
This leads me to believe it’s not her husband but just another version of her personality. How this makes her Super and not just schizophrenic, I don’t yet know.
No Scar I am No Scar dot com.
Actually what he said was along the lines of you look different without the scar.
He came up with that while on the subway “I can only Fly around my brother” Etc
I wonder if the future-Peter known by Hiro might have a scar because he is physically mimicking his brother’s facial scar. Maybe, in the future, Peter takes on the appearance of those whom he mimics, not just their abilities.
I’m still putting my vote in for “Sucker.”
Yeah, but what we’ve seen of the doppelbanger she hasn’t been homicidally raging. She’s been kinda royally pissed off but not berserker. She certainly put the goon down last night in a cool, calm and collected manner.
Is this a whoosh?
But that’s nothing that couldn’t be explained away simply by being calm and cool when you attack someone who thinks you’re cowering in fear. It’s not like she put her fist through his chest or anything- she just slammed him against the elevator door and knocked him down. He didn’t even appear injured.
Maybe she just tapped into her inner bad-ass. I’d certainly like to tap her a… uh, never mind.
I think the Inner Niki has figured out that creating a trail of dead goons, as satisfying as that might be, won’t actually solve the problem. Banging one guy, however…
That’s what I thought. The coroner also said that she was pulled out of the river at 4 a.m., and Claire’s parents didn’t know she was missing, so presumably no one reported her missing.
What I find really interesting is that she’s mad at the QB for raping her, but not for killing her, stripping her, and dumping her in a river. I guess she doesn’t know, because she was dead at the time, but if he didn’t dump her, then why doesn’t he seem just a little more put off?
D’oh! “If he DID dump the body,” I mean.
yeah… the QBs reaction to her re-appearance is not quite right… everything else is in synch with his reactions (she’s a slut, that’s what I’m already telling them) but not his reaction to her being alive and all… unless someone else dumped her and he thought she was only “knocked out”… I cant remember the scene now to decide if he knew she was dead/alive.
