Oh. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with the various shorthand. I thought we were still going with AED.
MR. B is planning to keep Syler a secret so he probably wont be able to spring Peter. Even if he is part of the government I don’t think he is FBI. How is going to convinve the cops/FNI to free him. This is where Peter meets the esp-cop.
Note that no one has said, since Hiro constiported, when exactly Charlie was killed. I have a feeling that Hiro will not only be unable to save her but will actually cause her to die sooner.
I think that was definitely it, that they couldn’t find him. I doubt “Sylar” is Sylar’s real name.
Sounds about right. Girl found with her head popped open, FBI Lady and Matt go to Texas, Peter starts reading Matt’s mind.
And that “let’s put my limbs back where they go” section looked moderately painful. Yet really cool.
Sorry.
But I was right, they are pretty freaky.
I’ll have to go back and watch it, I lost about 10 minutes in the middle due to my daughter having a bedtime shit-fit. Am I the only one who thought that Mohinder’s mom was implying that he might be special? It seems like his sister was.

- See how Peter gets out of trouble, if he does.
- See what info AED gets out of Sylar.
- Find out what else AED knows about Claire’s background (parents, at least one was a super).
- Find out whether or not Mnemonic Girl has died in this timeline.
- Where’s Hiro?
- See if D.L. gets shot, and how that all turns out.
- What’s up with Niki/Jessica’s past?
- More screen time for Eden, ears and all.
Save the Chearleader, Save the world…
Saving the chearleader led to the capture of Sylar… something they hadn’t been able to do so far… it seems that Peter’s ability to “steal” powers affected Sylars powers negatively… that or he (Sylar) couldn’t focus beyond pixies EARS!).
I thought Peter said he could “tell” when he was around other supers… shouldnt he have noticed Claire quicker?
But with a sniper rifle, doesn’t the bullet arrive before the sound of the shot?
The dream boy’s name is S. Iyer, right? When Mohinder was trying passwords on his father’s computer, he typed “SYLAR” (before he tried the obvious – his sister’s name). So where did Mohinder come up with SYLAR?
Shooting a rifle over some distance will cause the bullet to hit the target before the “target” would hear the shot. Most bullets fly faster than the speed of sound. Not sure what you mean by “sniper rifle”.
Mo found out about SYLAR several episodes ago when he was still in New York as he was rummaging through his Dad’s notes. He visited Sylar’s apartment and everything.
JeffB - I don’t remember the specifics, but Mohinder has seen the name before. He found a tape recorded by his father that was labeled SYLAR.
Maybe he senses presence but not proximity? Maybe he’s full of crap and can’t “feel” anything unless he already knows he’s face-to-face with a super? I noticed last night that Peter did have physical contact with Claire at least two or three times (the original hallway bump, the second hallway bump, and then helping her up the stairs in the amphitheatre) before taking on her powers, so the question of whether he gains abilities through touch or proximity is still up in the air, I suppose.
I know it was written on a cassette tape in his father’s New York apartment–he already knew the name from Dad’s research.
IANA criminal lawyer, but it seems to me that they do not have enough evidence to charge Peter. Consider:
(a) There’s blood all over him, but 95% of it is his. Another good size chunk will be Sylar’s, a little will be Claire’s, but it’s unlikely that any of it is Jackie’s, since Peter never got within spitting distance of Jackie.
(b) Claire’s testimony that Peter tried to help her, and there was another guy in a dark coat and hat that attacked Jackie, even without mentioning any of the freaky stuff, should be sufficient in and of itself.
© Peter was nowhere near any of the other of Sylar’s victims, so there’s no connection there.
All that said, I do agree that this is where telepa-cop and Peter meet each other (or the next “real time episode”).
Another thought – just because AED, the Haitian, and the pixie have Sylar doesn’t mean they’ll be able to keep him. (Unless, of course, they kill him, but we don’t know whether that will happen yet or not.)
Mohinder had the name Sylar from when he was in New York – he asked Nathan if the name “Sylar” meant anything to him. He and the pixie actually visited what is assumed to be Sylar’s apartment; not to mention the voice mail on Mohinder’s Dad’s answering machine that used the name.
They’re actually more “towns” than “cities” and they’re less than 20 miles apart. In fact, they’re frequently referred to as Midland/Odessa.
I knew I forgot to talk about something in my last post. If you re-watch that final scene with Micah and DL, you can see that as soon as DL knows Niki/Jessica has been told where they’re located, he gets twitchy and uber-observant and watchful and paranoid and all those other things. Sure, he may not be able to reflexively phase upon hearing the gunshot, but he’s on guard, which makes it less likely Jessica will manage to kill him, no matter what.
I was thinking about this last night–what are the odds AED will find some way to keep Claire completely out of it? Without Claire’s testimony, Peter’s a much better circumstantial suspect.
Have they established how long Peter can keep abilities he leeches off others? Claire was nowhere around when he reset his ankle.
A possible solution to Hiro and Super Waitress is that Hiro convinces her that she will be killed by Sylar and she fakes her own death and assumes a new identity.
And what the heck happened to Sean Bean playing Sylar? I swear the guy in last nights episode looked like Brandon Routh which would be awesome. Superman playing the super villain.
Peter’s Powers I’d like to propose that Peter’s Power is like X-Men’s Rogue’s, where he actually steals them. Flying with Nathan, Nathan flies to save him, and Peter takes over, but not able to control it, he continues to fall, and goes to the hospital for his trouble. Sylar is throwing locker doors at him, and none hit him! Then Sylar stops, maybe because he can’t do it? Debatable. He’s healing at a far slower rate than Claire, but Claire also didn’t heal completely. The only one I can’t explain is Hiro stopping time on the train. So maybe I’m shoveling bullshit, but I’m going to keep an eye on this…
That was answered in the last thread. I won’t spoil it since it wasn’t true. IMDB reported that Sean Bean was going to be Sylar but he always denied denied the rumor. IMDB also had the guy who is playing him listed as Sylar. Just search for the character name. The guy is someone I have seen before but in no way is he famous.
One question that maybe someone can answer for me. Hiro and Ando speak Japanese with subtitles. How come everyone in India is speaking English?
My Indian friends at work tell me that English is a very common language spoken over there. In fact, they tell me that I could get around quite well in India speaking only English. IIRC, there are 17+ languages spoken in the country, English being the only common one.
Why would you say that, I saw no lingering injuries when she hugged her dad. I watched the locker room scene again and it seems that when Sylar cut the girls head open, blood sprayed across the room and all over Claire. I would guess it is her blood, not Claire’s that we see.
So a mother and son will speak English in their own home? A street urchin speaks in almost accentless English? Sorry doesn’t work. English is used as a second language to bridge the gap between dialects. It is not used as the first language between family members and people from the same region. I know a lot of Indian people and live/work in an area with a high Indian population. They don’t speak English at home when they live here, why would they in India? It’s just sloppy writing. They should make it consistant. If Hiro uses subtitles then so should Mohinder when he goes home.
