Actually, I thought the promos said something more like, “Last week Claire found her mom; wait until she (or possibly “you”?) meet(s) Daddy!” If my recollection is more accurate then they didn’t say she would meet her daddy, it only said, “wait until she meets daddy” and therefore no lies were told. Innocent!

I disagree with TWoP’s assessment of that scene. I think that the Haitian simply caught Sylar as he fell after Eden ordered him to go to sleep.
The exact line (which I posted in last week’s thread) was “Now you’ve met Claire’s mommy, wait 'til you meet daddy.”
They said “wait until you meet daddy” in the promos. At the beginning of the show in voiceover they said “tonight she meets daddy.” Lies, lies, lies.
It was also kinda weird how at the beginning of the ep they showed us AED trapped in Sylar’s cell screaming which hadn’t happened yet, and at the end of last week’s ep we were shown Claire’s mom calling Nathan when that didn’t happen until the end of this week’s ep.
Make’s it hard to keep track of what’s happening when, but we are on a countdown towards the destruction of NY.
scotandrsn, Haitian’s got two powers. One cancels out people’s abilities, the other is the mind wipe. I don’t think he does the mind wipe until they’re finished studying the “patient.” In Sylar’s case, I think once they picked him apart they were probably planning on killing him. AED recommended doing it right away but was overridden by the higher-ups. But I don’t think there was reason to mind-wipe him because I don’t think the plan was ever to return him to the general populace.
He’s referred to as Claude although he specifically distains being called Claude Rains.

So what do you do? Wander around manically in NYC, saying “I NEED TO FIND A WAY TO STOP THIS!”
How about… take a flight out to North Dakota, so that even if you do go nuclear, you’ll only take out some cows.
Peter was on his cell phone booking a flight to the Nevada desert when he spotted Doctor Where. So that’s not a plot hole since it’s pretty much what went down.
I think there’s still some debate about whether the Haitain can cancel out abilities or not, because Nathan was still able to fly with him in the vicinity. Wasn’t Matt the only person who experienced an inability to use his powers around the Haitian? (I agree with Otto that it was Eden who subdued Sylar, not the Haitian.) Perhaps the Haitian’s ability isn’t canceling out abilities per se, but rather being a kind of signal jammer when it comes to reading minds, causing Matt to hear only silence when he’s near the Haitian.
Haitian subdued Eden and prevented her powers from working inside the paper company. He also subdued the radioactive guy, although we didn’t see that and I’m not sure if his powers had manifested yet. Sylar’s powers also didn’t work within the facility while Haitian was around, but apparently worked when he wasn’t.
I don’t know if Sylar has figured out Haitian is the one who can stop him but for a guy as powerful as he is, he sure rabbited when AED and Haitian showed up at the house, and AED felt confident sending Haitian alone after Sylar. Maybe Sylar is just a coward, and runs whenever two people come after him.
Who knows, you could be right. I have a far-fetched theory about why Haitian let Nathan go. He maybe knew he was Claire’s bio-dad? He won’t mess with Claire either. He knows something AED doesn’t. People in Nathan’s family seem particularly important.
Frankly, I thought that Hot Momma had hit Nathan up for buckage over the years, to keep the ‘scandal’ hidden. Then been paid off and agreed not to talk to him again. Man, Nathan is just having no good news on the scandal perspective these days.
And I’m not of the opinion its scandal worthy … Trailer Flash said " I don’t know if you remember me"… not something you would say to someone you’d been blackmailing.
My thought is that Trailer Flash somehow caused the fire, thought baby claire was dead, was on the run from HRG. Nathan most likely thought both were dead (news was planted to make that case) and moved on with his life…
The real question is how/why did HRG adopt claire, and what was the real cause of the incident.
Exactly. He is trying the lets try something that doesn’t involve me dying strategy. Can’t say I blame him. He has shown he is willing to sacrifice himself if it becomes necessary.
Boy, how much would it suck to be the Haitian and not have the ability to shut down Sylar? Me, I’d head for a bar and hang out for a couple hours.

I have a theory that the Haitian’s powers only affect those powers connected to the mind (like Matt’s mindreading and Eden’s power of suggestion) - but I could be wrong as well. We’ll see. 
I’m having this uncontrollable urge to combine these nicknames and start calling her Hot Flash.
