No “I brought you into this world and I can take you out of it”?
Ain’t no cookin’ like church lady cookin’. They won’t send you home hungry. They’ll send you home with a pie plate full of leftovers.

I thought I saw a bunny run inside the giant boxwood in the back yard so I poked my head in to see where it went. I don’t know where the bunny went, but I know about other creatures living in that bush now. A TICK fell out of my hair a couple of hours later.
BRB burning down a giant boxwood.
Is this for me? If it was, nope. 'Beamer tends to the melodramatic as it is. He doesn’t need any help.
BigKitty  eek! yuck! I’ll hold the gasoline and the dynamite for you!
I don’t know, up and down.
I think we may have made a mistake by not putting him down.
I called the emergency vet last night and they suggested giving it another day to see if the pills start to make a difference. We should have seen a difference in 24 hours but she said it can take up to 72 hours. I’ll call the vet tomorrow, maybe he needs to adjust the dose or add in something else.
He is sleeping a lot, and I worry because he is taking lasix and he should be drinking and urinating a lot. He was drinking and urinating a lot before he started taking the pills, now I worry he isn’t drinking enough, and I know he isn’t eating enough.
Then again he was very, very stressed by going to the vet, and maybe he is worn out and needs the sleep.
When he wakes up he seems perkier, but then he jumps up and tries to do too much, and then collapses because he gets short of breath.
Every time he collapses I think* just put him down*, but then when he recovers he wags his tail and seems so happy. He is staying outside a lot, he was outside for over 5 hours today, just happy laying on the deck and standing in the yard.
We had a hard time getting him to come in, but we aren’t comfortable leaving him outside unsupervised.
That is not his normal behavior, this is a dog who always went out, did his business, and came right back in. He would do his walk abouts around the yard when the weather is nice, but he never stayed outside for hours.
I need to calm down too. I’m sleeping with the light on so if I wake up I can see if he is still breathing. I’m afraid he is going to die in his sleep, and yet I hope he dies peacefully in his sleep. I’d rather he dies at home than stressed out at the vets.
This is the last dog I’ll ever have because I cannot go through all this again.
Sorry I’m just been trying to keep quiet and I think of what Swampy is going through is so much worse and I should just shut up about it.
Sari, feel free to vent. Going though a sick pet hurts ,too.
This was why i asked as i ramble on all the time about mine but Swampy is at peace and does not want us to suffer alone I’m sure. I have read that dogs will go and go and go and eventually decompensate and go downhill fast because they want to please their owners. I’m glad he had so much outdoor time today. Probably wore him out but if that’s what he wanted to do then good on you. I also hope he will pass peacefully at home. Sorry there is no mobile vet near you. That’s how we had our last one sent off. He was 17 and a half. Started having seizures.
The only problem with dogs is they do not live long enough. Not my quote.
Sunny, there is two main kinds of smoke detectors, one uses a small amount of a radioactive isotope to ionize the smoke partials, and the other uses a light beam to detect smoke.
Spiders and bugs love to play in the second one.
At 0300:smack:
No they don’t, but if they did, we’d worry the other way of who is going to take care of my baby when I pass away?
He finally drank some water, and now he is laying down. I left him in the kitchen, I’d rather he came into the living room but even that short walk wears him out. Hopefully the lasix will start working better and he will be able to breathe more easily.
