Oh wow, an MMP that hasn’t spiraled beyond my ability to read it. Hope the job hunting, accrediting, revising, car repairing, etc. go smoothly for those burdened. I have a cubic buttload of studying and writing.
I have been productive today. Got most of my April reports in, with only 6 left for the month.
Home at last. **FCD **doesn’t want supper, so I’ll figure out what I’d like to have. Altho what I want is for something to magically appear on the table - something that is exactly what I want, despite having no idea what I want. Is that too much to ask???
Yeah, probably.
doggio, it sounds like you’re getting the weather system that has plagued us for the weekend.
I’m sorry about the job spidey. Good luck to you and the other Mumpers looking for work.
Welcome back Wabbit!
Glad you’re OK, nuts!
Today was a typical Moanday. Getting things wrapped up for EoM.
So my “short” day was eight and a half hours. No hockey tonight ,but I got some High Roller in the fridge. Still raining. And tacos for dinner.
Welcome back, Wabbit!
: tacklehug :
Sorry about the boot, Nut. Could be worse. I had someone plow into my car trunk/boot, and drive off, and my insurance company raised my rates(I switched after that)
Congrats! I quit 20 years ago. And I miss The Cute One[sup][sup]TM[/sup][/sup], too.
My phone’s otter corrupt is full of shirt.
People are crazy.
My day has been irritating.
We’re debating taking the dog to the vet to have him checked out. He’s drinking a lot and going out a lot, but then he’s done this before and got back to normal.
I shouldn’t be allowed to do laundry unsupervised. :smack:
When I took the load of light colored summer irk clothes out of the dryer, I discovered that I had left a tube of lipstick in the pocket of a pair of pants. Not Tender Pink. Not Nearly Nude. It was Fantastic Fuschia! It looks like I would learn after washing a tube of Spiced Cider last summer. :smack:
About half the load was either OK or stuff like drawers and PJs. The lingerie bag protected the compression stockings and bras. I got to work with some OxyClean and ran them through a heavy duty cycle in hot water and a little bleach. Only one shirt was ruined. But…when I put the bleach in, I splashed some on the dark blue Titans tee shirt that I was wearing. :smack: That has been fixed with a Sharpie.
missred, have you ever washed something with dollar bills in the pocket? They come through surprisingly well. Sorry about your clothes.
Happy hump day - well, at least it is here. I celebrated by taking the dog to the vet for a checkup and shots. First time we’ve been to the vet since we moved in January, and the first time in the office - and the dog still went nuts. She just doesn’t do well with vets. She got one shot, and some worming pills, and I got a form for her rabies shot - I pay at the post office and bring the form back next week when she’ll get the actual shot.
Gearing up for next weeks double holiday - Memorial Day on Sunday night/Monday and Independence Day on Monday night/Tuesday. Not sure what we’re doing yet, and I may actually be working at my second (part-time) job.
Good luck finding a new job Spidy!
Why is it that being wakened from REM sleep leaves you feeling exhausted? I wasn’t ready for the alarm this morning and now I’m dragging like I’ve pulled consecutive all-nighters. Gonna be a long day, methinks. Unless the caffeine is strong today.
Today is going to be a repeat of yesterday (weatherwise) - rainy in in the 50s. But tomorrow, they’re talking 70s, then 80s after that. I’ll be glad to open the house again and let some fresh air in, plus it’ll take the chill out. There’s something about damp and chilly that just creeps into your bones - brrrrrrrr.
But for today, I’ll be beating down the pile of work from yesterday. I’m going to start with the 2 drawings for Brent - they’re quick changes, so I can get them on his desk before he gets here. Then back to the mess that Tim dumped on me. And if I get that done, I’ve still got tons from Josh. Busy, busy!
Happy Tuesday!!
Office mate just asked me: “Who’s the cartoon character who eats spinach and gets really strong?”
I work with babies!!! <headdesk>
Happy Toosday!
Going to be another rainy, chilly day.
I have a huge blurf despite sleeping from 10 til 6.
Going to the college today for the OS final. We’ll grab something while we are out for lunch because that’s what we do.
I guess the dog heard us talking about taking him to the vet, he seems better today.
Debating if I’ll got to my ex-bil’s service on Saturday. Probably not.
Laundering money is a crime.
Pretty much. Also, busy with school and work. Damn life is taking over. It’s tedious I tell ya!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 51 Amurrkin out and N.O.S. with a predicted high of 81 and N.O.S. for the day. Today I shall check on unc (didn’t yestiddy), do some errands, go to the sto’ and mom watch. I’ve been in Ye Olde Home Towne two weeks now. Doesn’t seem like it’s been that long.
Howdy wabbit! LTNS!
Nuts sorry about the car ding. Hope the insurance is all figured out.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants to be fed. Then I shall purtify and get out and about.
Happy Tuesday Y’all!
Remember, currency is NOT paper, it is cloth and in some cases a plastic strip.
Well, I’m back.
Spent 20-24 April in Washington, DC, and did so without a rental car (which is pretty useless in the city, the Metro goes most everywhere. Walked a lot (Arlington to the Smithsonian for one example) more than normal and have become acquainted with a few muscles and tendons I never knew I had, but which have announced their presence most painfully.
Went on the March for Science, but rain and cool (55F) weather depressed the crowds, but did get to meetup with FCM, who, if you haven’t had the pleasure, is just as delightful in person as she is on the SD. Hot most of the Smithsonian musuems including the ones at Dulles (lot of travel time, but worth it, IMHO) and finally got back to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (meh).
Problem was we had one hot day (where of course I did most of my walking) and the others were cold and/or wet. Amazingly, I don’t feel sick, but we’ll see.
So, back to the soccer routine. May be coaching another group right until mid June (week before my vacation), so that will keep life interesting.
To all y’all: Condolences, congratulations, hugs, tears, and various degrees of support to you in your endeavors.
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Still raining, and the roads are flooded everywhere.
I used to launder bills, but switched to quarters when I became a changed man.
Welcome back, MetalMouse
Either way, it worked!
Finished gather the last of what I want for the Knoebels/family visit trip. Now its just two more days work and then WOOHOO!!!
Well, aren’t you the sweetest!! I felt like a soggy grump most of Saturday, and I don’t think I warmed up till I got a hot shower. OK, and I was also a little envious of your upcoming trip - I wanna see the Vasa!
OK, quit distracting me. Back to work…
