I’m fine today–just a little scabby and bruised, but nothing much. When I fell, I heard something light hit the ground with a “click.” I couldn’t see anything with my little flashlight, so I figured my Dollar Store sunglasses fell. This morning I realized it was one of my medications. I went back to where I fell, but I couldn’t find it. I’ll call the pharmacy tomorrow and see if I can get a refill. Insurance won’t pay (“Suuuuure you fell and dropped it. Riiiight.”), so hopefully it won’t be too pricey.
I’m going to be in severe daughter withdrawal starting tomorrow. Her brother will be a huge comfort, but I hate having her out of touch. I had a hard time when he went to Florence 8 and 9 years ago. (He did a semester abroad for his MBA, then returned with his GF to propose. Both kids are good at traveling on the cheap.) I would have preferred they never left home but stayed close by until we all turned into Tennessee Williams characters.
There’s a wind advisory, and we’re supposed to get 1-2" rain tonight. So far it’s calm and barely drizzly, as it’s been all day. Hopefully the power doesn’t go out. Bless all utility workers, says I.
Ha! I went to UPS: Unclothed Persons Shipping.
unknown, you should get George a little basketball hoop and a Nerf basketball. I bet he could dunk.
flyboy, you may have explained this before, but how did Goo get to be called Goo?
Mooooom, my heart melted, too, when I read that Roxy said you’re her BFF. Gotta love that Roxy. I wonder if she’ll ever know how many fans she has out here in Mumperland. Oh, and my sister loves her water aerobics class. I bet you will, too.
Butters, ugh on the stress of the Hyperdrive house prep, but yay on the Yummy Mary. I hope the home office doesn’t cause big headaches. Maybe there’s a loophole. To quote Lucy Van Pelt, “There’s ALWAYS a loophole!”
