Historical weather help

So I’ve been on the NWS data page for an hour trying to find a very specific data set. I need hourly (or at least incremental) temperature and/or precipitation data for a particular zip code: 34601 (it’s Brooksville, Florida) on August 9, 2012.

There appears to be a station in Brooksville with data through 2012, but I can only get it to show me day-by-day highs/lows/mean temperatures. Am I doing something wrong, or what?

If anyone can get me hourly temperature data for someplace reasonably close (say, within 50 miles), that would be cool too.

If I may add on to this request, I would like to see if it is possible to find out what the weather was in Nanchang, Jiangxi, Chine on and/or around January 4, 2005.

Weather Underground seems to have hourly info for specific days. Go to the bottom of the homepage for “Local Weather” and “History Data.”
