I know you’re supposed to wait 3 months, but I told everyone immediately. I can’t keep a secret! Besides, I was sick all the time so I guess it was pretty obvious.
Congratulations!! Tell us how your husband reacts!
I wouldn’t. I’d imagine that he might be a bit hurt.
Congratulations, and we get to point and make fun of you as you post threads like “My baby isn’t nursing every three hours. Is that a problem?” and “Why is his poo green?”
I love first time mommies. They’re so cute when they’re panicky.
Been there, done that, can help you through the rough spots.
Mazel Tov!
Congratulations!
Enjoy yourself while you’re pregnant, too. Being pregnant was the happiest time of my life! You’ll see! Savor EVERY moment of it!
Again, congratulations!
Your reaction was the exact reaction I had when I took my first pregnancy test.
Congratulations!!!
Congrats!
Congrats! And I second waiting to tell people. It’ll be your little happy secret for now =)
Congratulations! That’s so exciting, to see that precious little line when you’re hoping to.
I always marveled that a cheap little $7 test told me that my whole life was about to change.
I think you should just leave the test stick out on the table.
Or in the bathroom waste basket.
Woohoo! Go Nutty Bunny!!
Once our Turkey arrives, I’ll be happy to hand over the Baby Pool Page code to ya…
Yup. My test turned positive so quickly I was stunned. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, sure enough, I’m having twins. Sooooo…just sayin’.
Congratulations!
YAY!
Straight Dope is more important that husbands and family!
Oh, and you’re knocked up. YAY!
I love first time mommies, too. They are so comical.
Do we get to name the baby? :dubious:
Congrats!
Good thoughts for a happy, healthy, uneventful and easy pregnancy and birth.
Thanks everyone!
When I got home from work, I told my husband to close his eyes and hold out his hand. He stared at it for a while and looked confused, then he got a big smile on his face and we hugged and kissed and freaked out for the rest of the night.
My husband told his sisters and I told my mother. She’s been wanting this for a while, especially after losing my father this past Christmas, so she’s really excited. The funniest part of the conversation was when she said, "Oh, you’ve got to call your gynecologist, no…::sobbing::…your ob…ste…trician…::sobbing::. It was so cute. Then she said, “Okay, get off the phone so I can call people!” I knew she wouldn’t keep the secret.
We couldn’t wait to tell people. Plus, if I lose it, I’d want my mother’s support. I think she’d be hurt if I hadn’t told her I was pregnant to begin with.
Baby! Woot! Congrats.
That’s very cool. Congratulations and best of luck to you and your husband!
Stop scaring her! When Iris took the test it came up really quick too and we’re only having one.
The coolest part is when you hear the heartbeat for the first, or in our case now, the second time.
Congratulations, Nutty Bunny! I loved being pregnant, and had very little sickness. I hope yours will be just as smooth!
Not trying to scare her, it’s just good to be aware that exaggerated pregnancy syptoms, including a high hCG level, can be an indicator of multiples, and if that’s the case, it’s better to find out sooner than later. We’re tickled pink about our twins.
