some here are finally beginning to understand what i’m taling about
Minotaurus, Sarahfeena has spent every post since that one apologising for the mention of the neighbour’s sexual inclination and qualifying her statement to indicate that she refered to the pornography aspect, not the homosexuality one. Why don’t you read the thread before replying?
yes, the usual stuff when a person disagree with homosexuals or a persons with a very liberal opinion about the topic. You are accusing them for being repressed homosexuals and homophobic extremists
this must be some of the oldest tricks in these kind of debates
Ah, the old “ignore the people trying to debate you and reply selectively” trick.
Thank you, Happy Clam. At this time, I also officially retract anything I said about giving Minotaurus the benefit of the doubt.
Minotaurus, I am quite sure that you & I do not see eye to eye on this topic in any way.
Oh! I thought it was big burly hairy guys in leather biker jackets.
…or was it young hairless Asian men with body oil wearing Speedos?
…no, wait, I think it’s middle-aged accountants who have been in a relationship with their middle-aged hairdresser boyfriends for 15 years who shop at Pier 1.
…no, I’m pretty sure it’s women with really short hair and comfortable shoes.
…or is it men who dress as women with really big hair and uncomfortable shoes?
I need a flowchart.
Minotaurus, I, for one, would be pleased to see you take a stab at responding to the questions posed by levdrakon in post #93. Here, I’ll help:
Anyway, I think you see why I was objecting to your post. Although you didn’t mean to, it was easy to read it as an agreement with the OP.
“Live and let live” is not a “very liberal” opinion. Wanting to forbid gays from doing anything in public that acknowledges their partner is homophobia, and repressed homosexuality has a corrolation with repressed homosexuality.
You know, as a straight guy I fight gay men kissing a little repellent. You know what I do ? I don’t stare at them. I also find eating beets repulsive; I don’t eat them. Who and what you find attractive ( or tasty ) is a subjective matter; your preferences aren’t superior to anyone elses.
Really? I’m shocked, shocked!
[/snark]
You have it backward. You are making this as difficult as possible by refusing to respond to any direct questions. You continue posting to the thread without actually explaining why homosexual public displays of affection are more disgusting (in your opinion) than heterosexual displays. You have failed to identify any aspect of the situation that would distinguish between heterosexual and homosexual behavior or that would indicate why homosexual behavior should be more tighly proscribed than heterosexual behavior.
You have alsobegun responding to actual requests that you defend your position with claims that “you people” are doing one thing or another, apparently for no better reason than to keep the thread alive.
That is pretty much the definition of trolling: posting for no reason than to get responses.
If you do not choose to defend your OP in an intelligent manner, I am going to close this thread. If you continue to resort to content free one-liners that border on the insulting, the closing will be accompanied by a warning that you are not to troll. If you actually had a point in the OP, now would be the time to produce it.
:smack: homophobia has a corrolation with repressed homosexuality.
I don’t want a society that visualize sex/porn everywhere i go.
Like most men I occasionally watch porn and even girl girl porn, but i won’t have such thing in every corner of the streets. This is one of those things that belong in the private room
I am not even thinking about disagreeing with this, which seems to make a lot of sense. However, I’ve seen it asserted a bunch of times without any substantiation. I’m wondering if you or another member have any supporting data for this.
And what does this have to do with homosexuality?
It’s based on a study at the University of Georgia.
Homosexuality != porn!
Again, please answer-is a man and a woman kissing porn? If not, then how are two men kissing porn?
This is a non-answer. If i run the Friday supplement looking at movie ads, I see a lot of heterosexual activity displayed, and pretty much no homosexual activity. (I did not see the movie, but I saw no ad for Brokeback Mountain in which the principals were undressed or kissing. If such an ad was produced, it was not widely published.)
If I look at ads for cars or beer or clothing or music videos, I see heterosexual activities, not homosexual activities. (I am aware of the couple of clothing designers accused of promoting homosexual images, but they are hardly prevalent in society.)
Now, you have already been advised that you are skating on thin ice. Either participate in a coherent fashion or this thread will be closed.
I don’t think he’s made an argument that’s even this coherent (though if he had, it would be a weak one indeed.) Don’t help him out here - he hasn’t framed an argument at all; you don’t need to try to sift the bits and pieces of what he’s saying to find one.
Can somebody PLEASE give me an example of an sexual act that is used exclusively by every homosexual couple and has never been practiced by some straight couple somewhere? Somebody?
I do not like public displays of affection, but I’m very equal about it. Hugging and a kiss are okay, anything else should be practicied in private.
