House 1/25 Remorse

13 tries to act as the voice of reason when dealing with a female patient.

As I’m watching this as I post, I will say nothing except, damn, Chase, I thought you looked like hell earlier this season, but that haircut makes you, IMO, flat out fugly!

Lame and predictable episode.

Is this the first time we heard 13’s name? If it’s not they sure made sure they said it A LOT.

I liked it. Hey, they cured psychopathy to boot! Look out cancer, you’re next!

I don’t know about psychopathy, but in one of this books, former FBI Agent Robert Ressler cited Dr. Benjamin Spock that male sociopaths could fool women, but not men and vice versa. This was probably the medical basis for why 13 was spooked that House mentioned

No, it was established shortly after the “audition” story ended and she became part of House’s staff.

They mention Wilson’s Disease and amyloidosis a lot too.

Why is 13 even having these discussions with the patient’s sister and husband? Argh.

Only because it led to the discovery that the patient wasn’t “always” this way - which led to the diagnoses.

Otherwise, I said that myself several times.

Is this the first time that it wasn’t a lightbulb moment for house?

I think Foreman has had the lightbulb moment once or twice, and I think one of the new fellows (the guy that left?) had it once as well…

It’s amazing that House can be in so much pain that he needs Vicodan and a cane, yet he still can jump the shark.

Gonna wreak havoc with the legal profession!

He’s been off the vicodin all season, and this was hardly a JTS episode.

At the very least, it was a good “who is that guy” episode: Little Carmine from the Sopranos and Don Draper’s father!

I didn’t think that social worker guy was that ugly. I mean, I respect the lady’s taste that she did, but I didn’t think that he was an obvious, “How can he be with her?” to other people.

how does a social worker come across an 18 million dollar trust fund?

I’m thinking he probably already had the trust fund when he became a social worker. He went into social work despite being independently wealthy 'cause that’s just the good-hearted-but-hopelessly-naive kind of guy [that the writers want us to know that] he is.

Good point. We should lodge a complaint.

Well, yeah, I get that, but I don’t get that overly-stubborn vibe from 13. From Cameron? Yeah. From House? Definitely.

Maybe I’ve missed that vibe. Maybe she’s becoming the new mini-House (Shack?)
