House and the Cottages have a patient with an interesting past, while Remy/13 has bad reactions to her medicines.
Thanks for posting this; I had forgotten it comes on Mondays now.
~sigh~ I was one of the ones who liked 13. Now I’m just ready for her to be gone. Not so sure I care to have Foreman around now either.
Why don’t they just bring back the private eye?
“She needs Dr. Seuss.” Hahahaha.
Dear Cuddy: Please lose the bangs. And I have no freakin’ idea what that last exchange by the elevator meant.
Dear Thirteen: Please die.
Isn’t it a weird coincidence how all these separate characters always reach an emotional resolution in their weekly crises within the same 30 seconds that a sappy song is playing?
I have to say it: I think I prefer Cuddy being horrible to House. I did like the bit with Wilson and POTW–he was stuck and hopefully is now somewhat unstuck. And Talb and his wife–that was neat. I also liked Kumar (or is it Cutner–what is that guy’s name?) standing up to House re was 13 admitted etc.
13 truly needs to die. She won’t date, won’t date etc–and then BAM! :dubious:
How noble of her. Die, soon–please.
I like 13, but I don’t like her chemistry with Foreman. I don’t know what it is for certain, but I have trouble buying the relationship. It just seems like the relationship came out of nowhere. It doesn’t feel genuine.
I think thirteen can be an interesting character as her disease develops. I don’t know how she can stick around though, if Foreman sticks around. I think one of them has to go. Thaqt relationship will otherwise stink up the show forever.
Cuddy is always flipping around the way she deals with House. There is nothing really new here. I didn’t realize how much I missed Cameron until last week. I like Chase as well. I don’t even know the other two new guys names, but they are pretty good to. I’m a little confused about the little balding guy. I thought he dumped his wife or something when she bought him a car he didn’t want.
I don’t mind 13 but I Chase & Cameron are my favorite ducklings. And where is that private detective???
Character’s name is Lawrence Kutner. Played by Kal Penn, who played Kumar in the movie Harold and Kumar go to White Castle.
I wondered about that too. You are referring to Taub, of course.
I keep thinking that 13 will be getting together with the other patient in the trials played by Lori Petty.
I was a bit surprised that Cuddy would stoop so low. And I agree with the bangs comment…I have watched some reruns from 2006, and she looked much lovelier then.
Let’s get caught up on what’s happening with Taub, O.K.?:
Gah! I thought his name was Kumar Cutner (Kutner)… yikes. And I didn’t realize that Taub was spelled that way. I am liking Taub more; I have always liked Kutner–he’s as cynical as House.
I want more Wilson and more personal life House. The medicine has become silly (I suppose it always does when it comes to these kind of shows).
Dear Thirteen, please die. Thirded.
Loved how Wilson was hand-washing the dishes while standing in front of the dishwasher.
Scratching through one’s skull? Are you kidding me? That was LAME.
I haven’t seen the episode yet, but a few months ago there was an article in the New Yorker about a woman who had scratched through her skull without realizing it. I didn’t believe it at the time, either.
So how old do you think the Taub character is supposed to be?
I had always thought him to be older - say late 40s - but in the at-home scenes he looked younger to me. And the flipside, I had thought his wife somewhat of a trophy, but her skin clearly showed she was not significantly younger than he.
This week’s scene to make me question why I used to like this show so much went essentially:
“I’m sorry.”
“I CAN SEE!”
So she has a brain tumor and goes frickin blind, and they figure they can just take care of it themselves without even letting anyone else know?
In the locker room, House was just stealing cash from someone? I thought that a tad beneath him. What are your thoughts as to how that fits into his persona?
He has been seen to get a steak in the cafeteria, cover it with salad, and pay for the salad.
And “beneath him?” He’s forged prescriptions, lied his way into a psychiatrist’s storeroom to look at his ex-girlfriend’s therapy records, perjured himself . . . ?
Yeah, for some reason the act of stealing money from a (anonymous?) colleague strikes me as a tad different from the instances you list. A new - or at least a different - low, IMO…
House usually gets the symptoms right for the disease they are featuring. They may be highly unusual IRL, but there are cases where they occurred.
What did House do to Cuddy that prompted her repeated vicious pranks?
I liked 13 better when she was brooding and self-destructive. Now she’s just boring. I also don’t understand why everyone blames House for things that are out of his control. Why does Wilson blame House for Amber’s death? Yes, Amber died because she was helping House but think of all the circumstances that led up to her death. Is House really to blame for all of that? Plus, Wilson seems to have overlooked the fact that he never would have met Amber were it not for House. And now Cuddy is blaming House because she had to come back to work? Did she really think she could run a hospital from home while taking care of a baby?
And the whole 13 story line was ridiculous. So she got a brain tumor that went away in what? a day? I was sooooo hoping she was going to die last night.
I think House’s lackeys should be Taub, Cameron, Chase and Foreman. I don’t like Kutner - he sounds like a whiney baby when he stands up to House.
