House 2/2 Episode #100

The actor who plays Taub is 43. I think that the character is supposed to be about that old. Remember that, unlike the other people training under House, Taub didn’t just finish a residency and directly start working under House. He worked for a long time as a plastic surgeon before quitting his practice. On the other hand, Cameron, Chase, and 13 were four or five years too young to realistically play their characters. It’s made clear that only doctors who have already finished a residency can work under House.

I believe her thinking is that he caused Cameron to quit as acting admin, causing Cuddy to have to come in to work and actually doing her job, instead of staying home with her baby.

Boo-friggin-hoo!

You have only scratched the surface of House’s crimes & misdemeanors.

So I should scratch all the way down to . . . *my skull? *

I have been wishing for 13’s death for a long, long time, but I actually had hope last night. I was very disappointed in the miraculous recovery. Not surprised, but disappointed nonetheless.

Despite that, I actually enjoyed the episode. I was intrigued by House’s interaction with Foreman and Wilson’s interaction with the POTW (who was, in my opinion, one of the more interesting and believable [in terms of personality] patients this season).

But for the life of me, I cannot bring myself to understand what you people see in House’s PI. I swear, that guy was the Jar Jar Binks of television.

I was also in Thirteen’s camp, but that’s all over now. I wouldn’t care if a pteradactyl flew into the hospital and carried her off now. That was just terrible.

Yup, looks like one of the writers may have read the New Yorker in June.

I would not have suspected one could scratch through bone overnight, but alas.

Really.

I just assumed it was Cuddy’s. Otherwise, it makes no sense.

The scratching down to brain matter has me freaked out. I have a dull pain like sensation in both temples now from just thinkng about that scene. Gah.

Add me to the list of those who think 13 should die. Preferably soon. Quietly, in her sleep, so it can’t generate too much drama. I can’t stand her, and she has zero chemistry with Foreman. She’s taking up entirely too much of the show which should be devoted to more interesting characters like House, Wilson, and Cuddy.

As for Cuddy–she was annoying the hell out of me last night when she beckoned House over to coo at webcam images of The Baby. I wish she’d just realize that she’s not cut out for motherhood and take the kid back to the store. I want the old Cuddy back.

I also hope that Taub’s wife doesn’t cave and decide to have a baby. I enjoyed the conversation between them–I just hope she sticks to her guns.

I have nothing against babies and children, for those who want them, but I think the whole Cuddy storyline feels shoehorned and I hate it when people (especially fictional people) have babies for the wrong reasons.

All you people wishing death on Thirteen are mad, utterly mad, as mad as Etruscans. Olivia Wilde is too pretty to die.

I agree that she’s super hot, but maybe put her on another show so she stops ruining this one.

The key is to turn the sound off. I also apply this when watching whatever that show is with Taye Diggs.

Yeah, i hated the PI. Dread the fact that he might end up showing up in the season finale or something. The character was just bad comic relief.

And amusingly enough- the M2’s I watched House with last night, ended up having to learn about that endometriosis case in their Pathophysiology class today. Apparently the key sign? Sudden onset of acute pneumothorax… Good times.

She’s in Tron 2.0. I’m not hopeful.

Yeah, I think that 13 has transcended being a mere Scrappy and is now officially The Wesley of the show.

During the Superbowl commercial for The Year One (new Jack Black movie), when they showed the movie’s ‘princess’ I said, “Wow, she’s hot! Holy cow, that’s Thirteen!” Then I had to explain to my friends (they don’t watch House).

I don’t get the Thirteen hate. I agree that Fore-teen have no romantic chemistry at all and I’d like them to split, but I like both characters separately. I’d rather see more of any of the ducklings or more of Wilson than the stupid Cuddy plotline that’s been going on this season.

I hate her because she seems to me to be a cheap Cameron clone, and also because I’m getting tired of the “chick in distress” storylines. First Wilson’s girlfriend (which was done very well), but now they’re recycling it with Thirteen. She’s not nearly as interesting. I don’t care about her problems. I’m supposed to feel sorry for her, I guess, but I can’t stand her.

I have nothing against the actress who’s playing her. Just hate the character.

How can you say that ?! Foreman is an essential ingredient that makes the show work. He’s the only character that House actually influences. He’s the only character that despises House and adulates him at the same time at great emotional cost. That episode where Foreman imitates House in another hospital by making an unconventional medical intervention, proven right, only to get canned and forced to become House’s underling again was priceless!

He’s the only doctor obsessed with ethics and then gets tangled into an ethical mess with 13. He’s a genuine righteous sanctimonious fuckup.

Ever see the movie “Amadeus” ? House is Mozart and Foreman is Antonio Salieri .

We are a long way from Foreman going insane though.

+1. She’s a poor distraction in a solid show. Just DTMFA. I don’t mind Cuddy having a baby–I hate her bangs, though. I hope Taub’s wife does stick to her guns; it’d be nice to see that tension play out (he’s cheated before–will wanting to procreate tip him into cheating again?).
