That would make sense, but the name on the door at episode’s end was “Gregory House, MD,” not “Gregory House, Probational Consultant.” Of course, they might take titles as lightly as other procedures at PPTH…
There’s no proof that the entire *series *isn’t just a delusion that House has while in a Vicodin haze.
But I’m willing to take it at face value. As long as that annoying Chinawoman doesn’t become a regular. Her whiny voice already has me on edge.
Or, perhaps, they were waiting for the outcome of his jail sentence before worrying about the door. If nothing else, he could have been considered a consultant.
ETA: This episode was screwed up on my DVR due to the baseball game, so I didn’t actually see this episode. I’m just speculating.
“Chinawoman”? ![]()
<glances at calendar> yep, it’s still 2011…
<shakes head in disbelief>
Anyway, she’s Korean, not Chinese. And I like her. She’s much more interesting than Boring 13 and the Interchangeable Hotties. (Seriously, couldn’t they have found House another doctor who doesn’t strongly resemble 13 and Cameron when she had dark hair?)
She’s not Korean, either, Mr. Sensitive. She’s Korean-Filipina.
My DVR got screwed up by the baseball game as well, but I was lucky enough to catch it “On Demand” from Comcast.
That’s Ms. Sensitive to you! ![]()
And Korean-Filipina is still not Chinese. ![]()
In defense of Infovore, I would have posted something close if she hadn’t beaten me to it. Seriously, “Chinawoman” ?!?
Tim does have an earlier point though - the final scene could well be an old tramp with House’s face turning up a bottle and sinking into another dream. Come to think of it, he may be headed there either way.
Apparently not.
Just watched it, finally - my DVR messed up and it wasn’t available on Fox’s website until today. Aside from the lungs-in-a-box thing, OK episode, I guess, but I really think it’s jumped the shark unless things improve a lot.
I can actually buy Foreman as dean of medicine, Cuddy was awfully young for such a role. Foreman is no younger, from all appearances (and I don’t think he was a resident as recently as 2 years ago (someone suggested 2 seasons ago he was a senior resident).
The whole bit with springing him from jail with 12 hours to go was hard to buy - the passage of time seemed a LOT longer, they were knocking on the kid’s parents door in the nighttime, then it was daytime again, House was awakened early in the morning in prison and it takes a while to out-process someone… and I find it VERY hard to believe he’d ever have a license to practice again in that state.
