House 5/15

Eh, cruel bastards can feel fear, too. I think Honey gave us a piece of the puzzle.

I actually agree with you. I like the actor, but his character is tiresome to me outside of the round table sessions.

Still, I’m going to have bad dreams from the mere suggestion that Cuddy wouldn’t be around anymore, and I blame you.

I like the Forman character. To me it’s interesting to see his character progress and become more ‘house-like’ which makes him a much better doctor. Compaired to what he was when the series started, he’s probably changed the most.

While House is an ass, I always get the feeling that he’s trying to help people even though his method of helping is painful. Forman’s interview for example. I think House was right in that the position sucked…Forman was just taking the first thing offered so that he could get out. Ultimatly he’s better off for not having gotten that position.

Somebody else pointed this out to me, but after Chase and Cameron had a bit of an argument, Chase told her: “C U Next Tuesday”.

(Which is, apparently an acronym for, well, y’know.)

No, that was just him referring to the next time he will pledge his love. ::fingers in ears::

House’s attitude is accompanied by brilliance that Saves Lives. The kid just plays chess. Not exactly the same thing. If someone was a brilliant bastard, and could save my life when no one else could, I’d certainly be more inclined to accept his attitude.

I noticed that at the time, too, but it’s actually Cameron who says it, not Chase. So it’s either unintentionally ironic or unironically innocent . . . or something.

I’m hoping, that as brilliant doctors, both Chase and Cameron can spell “see” and “you” correctly.

And SYNT does not appear in the online edition of Merriam-Webster.

I think the scene where the kid was interacting with Foreman was telling. Foreman asks the kid if he’s being treated differently because he’s black. The kid’s comeback? “No, because you’re gay.” Yet, the line fell flat and came across as a juvenile trotting out the word “gay” for shock value.

Had Hugh Laurie delivered the same line, or had the kid emulated the way Laurie would deliver the line, it’d be hilarious.

Perhaps they intentionally had the kid deliver the line flat, in order to make his character less likable?

Well, I struck out twice on this episode. I was sure Foreman never had the appointment, or cancelled it himself, in order to have an additional excuse for leaving.

And I suspected the mother of poisoning the kid (and who would’ve blamed her?).
