It died…
Was it because House stole its medication/experimental material?
No, I think we are supposed to be under the assumption the meds killed the mice and therefore might kill House. Beyond that we get into speculation based on previews
IIRC they said the mice grew tumors and we see House operating on himself presumably to remove his own tumors before they kill him
Check your settings. If your DVR is like mine, there is an option to end recording 1, 2, or 3 minutes later than scheduled. (same for starting earlier than scheduled) It’s a lifesaver.
The really stupid aspect of the “Jews in medical school” reference is that, even if he had been to a seder, what is the chance that he’d remember what “Ma nishtana” meant?
Nope. I can set a manual override for a recurring program to start whenever I like, but after one recording, it resets to the ‘default’ timeslot of the show. So I’d have to fiddle with it every week.
So which is more annoying, fiddling with it every week, or missing the last 30 to 60 secs of the show?
Do you have a model number for the DVR (Cable company? TiVo? Other?)? The most common models usually have a way to change the default behavior.
The brand is Scientific American, I can probably get a model number. I thought the behavior was controlled by the firmware?
Scientific Atlanta? Probably a cable company DVR, then. Knowing which provider would also help.
I forgot how craptacular some of their models were. Depending on the model of the box and the television provider, it’s possible you can’t extend recording for all future episodes. Hopefully, it’s a newer box from one of the better cable companies.
Otherwise a workaround would be to schedule the DVR to record whatever comes on right after House (Chicago Code?). Unless of course that conflicts with something else.
Can you do manual recordings? For example, can you tell it to record every Monday from 7pm to 8:01pm?
Ha! Yes, thank you. What a typo.. I guess it was more of a thinko. I’m with Time Warner.
The problem there is that it isn’t a seamless transition. This program cuts off, then you start playing the next program and there’s a short gap that didn’t get on either.
