House S.4 premiere 9/25

Loved the House/Wilson interplay.

I was annoyed with Cuddy saying that had House had a team he would have solved it sooner because Foreman would have done this and Cameron would have done that, etc. But the team never solved anything! They only did the dirty work for House and he bounced ideas off them but they never solved anything. I kind of liked the way he was trying to bounce ideas off everyone, frankly the old team had been getting annoying.

House. Would you like me to lend you some of the large amount of money I owe you?

Drat. Not exact, but it was funny.

Does anyone know when/if iTunes will be carrying Season 4?

Are you erasing my TIVO?

Beautiful.

So glad to have “House” back! Though I guessed the end of the medical mystery this time, it was still an affecting twist. Also, although apparently I am one of the very few fans here who liked the 3 ducklings (c’mon – Jesse Spencer is so cute), I like the choose a new team plotline a lot. My question for other fans: Do y’all think House need a team? In terms of the world of the story? In TV show terms?
I still think the most unrealistic thing about this show is the way Cuddy dresses.

I really enjoyed it. Towards the end of last season I was becoming bored - but this season may bring me back. I hope.

Did House pop any pills this episode?

Why does House need a team, anyway? My father was a doctor, and he never had no damned team. With or without a team, House will finally get it right at 47 minutes past the hour.

The ducklings were, IMO, a pain in the ass. Although other people apparently saw glimmerings of personality in them, as far I as could tell their personalities (and issues) changed from week to week.

Based on last night, I’d say the show is better off with Wilson, Cuddy, and the janitor than with the underlings.

BTW: Odd hospital where you can wail away on electric guitar and not be told to shut up.

The Polite Dissent reviewer posted a link to the news article of the real-life case of mistaken identity.

Don’t JINX IT! :frowning:

It was all for effect - the bridge in the box was from a Stratocaster, not a Flying V, so I just assumed Wilson got it from another guitar and House chose not to call bullshit ('cause it was obvious and House would’ve noticed). I didn’t notice that they tried to frame it as actually happening by showing the guitar with tape on it, but I am kinda surprised. Wilson knew the guitar was valuable (and his estimate of $12,000 is a tad high, but close) so would know not to deface it.

I enjoyed the show but the only thing that bummed me out was the chord he hit on the guitar at the end of the show - ick. And I do believe Laurie can play…

House doesn’t need a team - Cameron’s instistance taht the boyfriend was right would not have changed the “chart” for the girl - after all, the boyfriend insisted that it was her! -

House did no un-needed tests and followed the clues as presented…

He was right for all the wrong reasons.

The part of the Guitar that was shown was the Whammy bar - not the bridge (unless they are connected) and twas hilarious. Loved the “String tightening” scene…

“Not the Season Finale!”

The real life case was very sad. I remembered it right after the denouement in the show. Usually I’m quicker than that.

I always found the ducklings to be irritating as shit. I’m hoping it’ll be a while before they come back/ or are replaced with others. I wouldn’t mind a whole season of House looking for their replacements.

I laughed my ass off. That and, “Are you deleting my TiVo???”

Weren’t the ducklings also doing most of the ordinary work in that section? You know, the clinic stuff that was never shown unless House was somehow forced to do his share of it. And then we only saw the part House was forced to do.

Some hilarious laughs thrown in. The kidnapping/janitor subplot was a kick, as was the memo-game between Cuddy and House. I still wish she could’ve absolutely crushed House on the issue, though, if it’s not supposed to be a subject still pending an absolute choice.

Edit: Marked for deletion.

I agree: More of the janitor and less of the ducklings.

I loved it! so good. ohhhh, I missed my Dr. GrouchyPants. I just moved, and House made this feel like home.

Ducklings? What ducklings? Seriously, all they ever did was eat up time that could’ve been spent on House. I guess I can deal with it if they’re back in minor roles, but if they start eating up assloads of screentime again with their interchangeable bouts of boring-ass bickering, I’ll be pissy.

This episode was everything I love about House. More plz kthx.

And then he throws the remote out the window.

I also loved how the janitor refused to break into a patient’s house b/c it was unethical.

No, he refused to break into the house because House wouldn’t give him $50.
