How are gas prices in your area?

As indicated upthread, there’s a midwest refinery issue on top of the Iranian situation.

$5.69/gal, up from $5.19 a couple weeks ago. That’s at the discount gas stations. Seattle.

ChatGPT tells me that local prices in Chile translate to $6.89 p/g

The price at the tribal-owned station, which consistently has the cheapest gas, was up to $5.099 yesterday afternoon.

Costco now up to $4.25. Was a passenger today and didn’t notice other stations.

I was in Wisconsin over the weekend. Nearly every gas station I saw up there was at $4.49 for regular, which is 50c higher than it had been a week ago.

Here in Cook County, it’s now at $4.99.

Gasbuddy says $4.89 in Bozeman today… Oops–that’s premium. $4.29 regular at Costco.

So high that I quit driving. An acquaintance of mine said she just spent $4.99/gallon. For those going through hard times, consider just having everything ordered. I don’t have the money, but a car is going to run you thousands, gas, oil changes, repairs, secretary of state (and waiting 5 hours), plates, being surrounded by a majority of drivers on their phone…

We all need food. I pay $8/month for unlimited deliveries from Wal-Mart, and being a single guy, I can’t buy a lot of food since it would expire, and I know I got about a dozen deliveries last month, which is unbelievable.

Good lawd! It went up to $4.69 today in western PA. This is getting ridiculous.
I have to rive a car to work and all my appointments so I might as well stop for groceries on the way home.

Tom’s River Nj 4.35 …spirit skunked me on my return flight home ! Should have drove!

$6.29 at an Exxon today for regular ($6.19 if paying in cash). It’s been bouncing a bit the last couple of weeks.

Here in southern Merrylande, prices are all over the place. There’s one at $4.099 if you have their special membership discount frequent shopper card, I got some at $4.159, but less than half a mile away, it’s $4.499. I figured I should put some in our infrequently-driven truck before it shoots up again - $50 worth was less than half a tank. Glad I’m retired and not commuting 250+ miles a week. I don’t know if I rack up 100 miles a month these days.

That was from March 3rd. The same two gas stations today: Costco $4.19, Wawa $4.59

Western PA is now up to $4.99. That is about an 80 cent increase in less than 2 weeks.

May 5: $4.00

Down to $4.79 in NE Indiana, was $4.99 over the weekend.

In St. Louis the major brands had kept their prices at $3.99 for the past couple of weeks. Today they were 30cents higher.

$3.83 at Costco today, up to $4.29 at some of the regular stations. One of my main hobbies is driving rescue transports, but driving an extra 1000 miles per month is a lot more pricey now. 40 gallons at $4. For my own personal driving it is probably 250 miles, or 10 gallons.

StG

Metro Atlanta area: $3.79 last Saturday (May 2, 2026) before my kroger fuel points subtraction.

The only reason they’re where they are is that the governor suspended gas taxes through at least May 19. Those would add another 33 cents per gallon on.

SE Texas - Local stations jumped from $3.49/$3.59 a week ago to $3.79/$3.89 as of yesterday, with our 20 cents/gallon tax still in place, though there has been some talk of suspending it.
