Dallas - 67 degrees, with a high of 80 expected today. Temps are expected to fall over the next few days, accompanied by rain, giving us highs in the 50s, and lows in the upper 30s/low 40s.
I had some weather shipped down from your old homestead, just so you’d feel nostalgic. ![]()
ETA: they’re saying we’ll get a high of 58 here in the PGC burbs of DC. It was pretty chilly on the way in to work, though.
South Texas. It was cold-ish a few weeks ago-- low 30s for a couple of days. But now it’s springlike, damp and foggy, 60s at night and almost 80 during the day. The dead, brown front yard has started sprouting grass where there was NONE virtually all summer due to drought (I don’t water, as it is pointless). The plants are getting confused. What the hell season is it?
Visiting Boulder Colorado. Almost 2 feet of snow overnight with a little more coming down. 3rd biggest snowfall in Boulder recorded history. A lot of snow but major roads are reasonably clear. Tomorrow is likely to be a complete cluster on the roads with folks out doing last minute holiday shopping. It’s 14 F right now.
Thanksgiving is forecast as sunny with a high of 33F
51 F here in the Chicago 'burbs (shhh…! Don’t tell the rest of Indiana I admitted we were suburbs of Chicago over here). Winds gusting to 60 mph. There’s rain - can’t tell if there is a lot or just some continually flying sideways.
A couple of hours after sundown here in Central Victoria, Australia. It’s clear and down to about 15° C, and it’ll be 8° by sunup. Should be nice and sunny tomorrow, high about 29°. Not quite summer, but getting closer.
…okay, I’ll take pity on you. In Fahrenheit, about 59°, 46°, and 84° respectively.
About 6 weeks till the Australia Open where it will be consistently 50c but only when Djokovic plays. ![]()
31f in my 'burb of Minneapolis, received a lovely 7" of snow overnight.
Found the snowblower key. [Kermit flail] Yeah! [/Kermit flail] It’s leaking gas, and smoked pretty bad when I started it. Boo!
Tomorrow, Thanksgiving, is supposed to be sunny and 28f, with more snow moving in for Friday/Saturday.
33F in Maupin (central) Orygun and snowing those tiny little ice crystals. We’ve got about 1/2" on the ground. But it’s supposed to get up to 36 later today.
We don’t have to go anywhere, so we don’t care. We might walk down to the grocery store later today.
Now more seasonal than earlier this week: -8 C and blizzard.
Got the snow tires on yesterday - just in time!
Near Raleigh, NC - high was in the mid-50s F today. Sunny and pretty pleasant. Got in a nice pre-dinner walk.
About minus-12C (10F). It’s been snowing for two days. Tonight’s news said that we’ve had a little less than two feet of snow, and it should stop snowing later tonight. Thank goodness!
I think we’re getting that snow storm now, Spoons. I hope most of it graced Alberta so we won’t get so much.
I’m very generous with snow for other people.
I’ve got a three-foot drift on the back deck. That’s what made this storm so frustrating: the drifting. Digging my house out today meant shovelling two inches in one location, and two feet in another. My neighbour helped me out with my driveway, but we still couldn’t do a great job.
I’ll be gracious and say that I hope that you do not get quite so much! ![]()
Anaheim, California. It’s been raining all day, and I hope it’s widespread enough to put out the fires in Santa Barbara (a community college friend is a theatre professor there, and I’d like for him to have a job to return to on Monday).
it snowed for about 16 hours today and its in the 30s … First snow we’ve had in about 20 years and first snow over a half-inch in about 35
Cleveland, Ohio - 34F and overcast. No snow on the ground.
Update: South Texas. It’s drizzly and overcast but WARM. At the moment (10 AM), It’s 70, but it’s supposed to go up to 84 today. WTF? I turned the a/c on in the house, because it was 80 in here. I expect to see some very confused bluebonnets sticking their heads up out of the ground any day now. Looking at the lows for the next week, it’s not predicted to go below 42 at night. Highs in the mid-70s.
It’s about minus 2 degrees Celsius in Toronto. Clear skies.
It’s starting to plunge into the 70s at night. We’re freezing. Freezing, I tell ya.
