Same. As to the question in the OP, forever. Often his tales make me want to make a list and start fact-checking him, and occasionally I have even started, but I am always too busy/lazy/have other things to do. I guess I wouldn’t make a very good stalker. But it’s come to the point where I ignore everything he says.
Agreed, he’s one of small minority of people here who’s posts are actually worth reading.
I also think that the stories that he’s told here over the years are likely to be true. I have an excellent memory and all of the personal details he’s provided over the past 15 years have been entirely consistent.
Someone on the Dope, can’t remember who, supposedly used to work with him. He never chimes in on any personal details though. I’d love to know his take on the OP.

They aren’t made up. I am not that creative unfortunately. The only things I can write about are things that I experience directly or through close association. I am told I have a distinct writing style that some people like and others don’t.
I make mistakes just like everyone does but that doesn’t qualify me as a liar. The purpose of this board is to help people learn and I have been both the recipient and the giver on that theme for over 15 years. You don’t have to like me but I do get pissed off when people claim that I am lying because it isn’t true. I have led an interesting life so far and a lot of it isn’t good. I even have other reputable Dopers that have known me personally for many years and that precludes me from posting anything that isn’t true.
I am starting to be convinced that Blake is on one of the spectrums because he gets way too angry about small details and will not give up on them. I am always happy to learn something from someone like him but you can’t when they explode and resort to personal attacks for little reason. Someone like him would be a nightmare coworker for me.
I appreciate reasonable people like Wesley Clark, Surreal and even Mean Old Lady and Anaamika. I appreciate the content posters like that provide even though the latter two do not like me in the least. That has never been a consideration for me though.
It is fine if you want to take exception to my posts and questions on human populations. I have no doubt that you know more about that subject in general than I do. However, the reverse is also true. I know a metric shit-ton of stuff that you don’t know as much about. That is part of the reason why we are here.
