I know what you’re going through because I had a similar experience when I was younger. Not exactly the same because the "light bulb was a t-shirt, and it didn’t need “replacing” it needed cleaning. But you can see what I mean. Pretty similar.

I just want to send hugs your way and let you know that there are others out there that have been through this and have survived.

Why should we change the lightbulb? Any change in the light source would alter the feel of the room in some subtle, nuanced way that will undoubtedly harm its character, and with that the tone of the high-level intellectual discourse that takes place there I’m opposed to any change in the lightbulb, and will consider leaving the room if the lightbulb is changed.

Also, because the light makes the pus on this massive zit I’m squeezing just the right shade of yellow. It started off with a thick, waxy plug, which was ejected under force by a unusually large amount of sebum and blood that was under pressure, later followed by a worm-like string that was at least two inches long. There were a couple of hairs intertwined with it. After the worm was extruded, I took a break, because I had to take what must have been the largest bowel moment ever …

Over 100 posts and the light is still on. Are you sure that it has burned out? I see no data to suggest that the light is in need of changing.

Just for clarification - by “light bulb,” do you mean a bulb that emits photons, or a bulb that is not heavy?
