How many hours of music do you have on your iPod or MP3 player?

I found a stack of CD’s that my wife had stuck in a closet in our house from before we were married. I recently went through them and ripped them onto my iTunes and then onto my iPod. After I got done, I noticed that I have about 430 hours of music, or almost 6,800 songs. The majority of this came from my wife’s and my respective CD collections which are all stored in a large dresser that we all also use as a bar. A few items have been purchased off of iTunes.

So how big is your digital music collection?

Mleh! I messed up the poll description. Option 4 should be “>250, but less than 500 hours”

Well, there’s a difference between “hours of music on computer” and “hours of music on iPhone.” The computer has well over 500 hours of music on it, but I feel no need to load all of it on my phone at any one time. So I voted “more than 250 but less than 500.”

My Music Stats: 6039 items, 21 days (504 hours) 29.95 GB

My 60G iPod has 17 days (408 hours).

No music at all - I only have podcasts on my iPod Touch.

Just counting music and music videos and not other things, I have 183.37 GB of music, resulting in a total time of 398:17:39:50. Which as far as I can tell means I have enough music to not have to listen to a repeated song for over a year.

My iPod is only a 60GB model of which 27.64 is music, for a total time of just over 12 days.

Damn, I think jack wins, but I have 30 days, 13 hours and 43 1/2 minutes on mine. 46.38 GB.

All I have is CDs. No portable I-anything nor MP3 whoozits.

69.6 days.

My iPod currently has an even 8,000 songs. I didn’t do that on purpose!

I have 700gb of lossless music on my computer. I have an 8mb iPod and I just covert the songs from Wavpack (lossless) to mp3 on the fly and dump them on my iPod as I want.

My iTunes folder says 186.44GB, which sounds like I beat jack on file size, but it also says I only have enough for 141.2 days, which is considerably less than a year.

53,224 songs.

I have 2.3 days of music (~1000 songs). I don’t know. I like music a lot, but I actually use my iPod way more for listening to podcasts. Also, I have the new 5th gen nano with a radio, and I use it for listening to NPR quite a bit now.

I just got my very first iPod (my first mp3 player of any kind) on Thursday. It was a gift. I’ve only just started to load stuff on it. I have way less than 50 hours on it right now.

It’s funny, I used to be really into music when I was in college and grad school – still have hundreds of CDs from that period. I kind of lost interest (started not having time to listen) just about the time that CDs started to give way to mp3.
