I second the notion of “experienced” vs “been around”. Someone who has lots of one night stands may know a lot less about sex than a person who has only been in a couple relationships that were long term. In fact, I would argue that this is likely.

I definitely agree with the quality over quantity sentiment.

Something that I found helped me out early on was online relationships. When I was a teenager I made some relationships with older women and just asked them incessant questions about pleasing a woman, and it definitely paid off. In fact one of those women became one of my partners after many years and I was able to put give her the benefit of her teachings. :wink:

However I do think that an averaging can help. Because you can learn different things from different people, so having a few long term quality relationships will probably teach you a great deal that you might not have learned otherwise. In the end it’s all a trade off, because I am sure there is something extraordinarily special about being with just that one person period your entire life. However, that wouldn’t have worked for me I don’t think.

Specifically how it happened. I’d like to put myself into similar situations. Although I agree with the “quality over quantity” statement, I’d like some quantity. :slight_smile:
