What I wish I knew is how a person finds 52 to 104 persons a year, or even more, willing to have sex with them. It pretty much confirms my suspicions that I was absent on the day when they taught the mating ritual.
I think a lot of it has to do with the type of people one finds. Me, I have had sex with virgins, just using my talking skills, and sluts, just using my wallet to buy them a drink or two (only examples, don’t get mad anyone).
Perhaps it is a lack of standards (although I do pride myself on my selection of women).
For me, some of it was the fact that I was in the Marines and for a few years when I was in, it was an area where there were NO Marines, so I was a good catch. I have had sex with women who just had sex with me to say they were with a Marine. Hell, that is why I am with my wife now, she just wanted to screw me.
Part of it was the way I looked at sex, my Mom had low morales, so I did not look at it as a big thing, to have sex with someone.

The interesting thing (as in “someone should write a sociology or psychology paper on this”) is how dalej42 seems to unquestionably assume that the chance of having sex with a new person is around 75% every night you go out. I’ve gone out hundreds if not thousands of times, but my number remains two.

I think it’s all about mindset, actually. If you go out desperate to get laid but thinking you probably won’t, you won’t, because you’ll give up too quickly; and if you’re a guy who goes out desperate to fall in love but hoping to start with a one-night stand, you probably won’t either. But if your standards are appropriate to your situation and you know what you want and where to go, it’s not hard. To be blunt, my number’s as high as it is because, when I was being a manwhore and was in a get-laid-tonight place, I’d look for women who were clearly emotional vulnerable in one way or another–women who wanted to get laid for reasons having little to do with emotional health.
