You misspelled “they disagree with me”.
mmm
Right now we’re at 61% have PIS’d in the past month, 39% have not.
mmm
I think you’re pooping in the shower. That’s a different thing altogether.
I want to point out that menstruation is not something like urine or feces, that one can hold in and release at will, at least not as well. Hence the need for pads, tampons, cups, etc. So do you think that the shower of an adult woman has never been stained with blood and uterine tissue? And that, IMHO, is grosser than urine, yet perfectly natural. And it occurs while showering.
Personally, I picked the 20-29 because I’m sure at some point I didn’t do it, but I almost alway do, like another female poster commented upthread. And I started that way back when I was a kid.
Just because of the way the poll options are set up. The majority do in fact do it, but they are scattered based on the various frequency brackets. Also interesting that as of this posting, over 75% of total respondents to the poll are male.
You just aim at the drain when you go. Don’t do it at the far end and let it go over the whole tub to get there. Regardless, I only pee in my own shower.
And what if I tell you my husband and I shower together whenever our schedules collide, and we still don’t give a damn? Like I said, aim for the drain.
I’m assuming we’re not including golden showers.
Soap + friction + repetition = major irritation/damage to some very sensitive and delicate skin. You also inevitably get soap inside your urethra, which REALLY burns and stings.
This is not something you do a second time.
I find it mildly gross, but not for any reason more deeply thought than ‘if you are housebroken, poop and pee go in the toilet when you are indoors, unless there is a damn good reason for them to go elsewhere’.
If others do it differently, I’m sorta indifferent.
Also - good username/post combo. ![]()
I don’t do it very often, because it takes a long time for my shower water to warm up, and there’s a convenient toilet right there. But I’ve done it. I answered 1-10. It might have been zero in the last 30 days, but it’s not zero in the last year, so that seemed like a better answer.
It’s not just that it goes to the same place, it goes there VERY quickly. Even the odor clears in seconds. Urine is highly water soluble.
And urine isn’t chemically very different from sweat. It’s not like urine is any more disgusting than the other stuff you are washing off when you shower. Someone mentioned that women menstruate and clean some of that off in the shower, for instance.
See above. I almost never pee in the shower. But I’m squarely in the “it’s not gross at all” camp.
As often as I possibly can, even when I’m not taking a shower.
So as of right now,
women men
zero 39.5% 39.2%
1-10 times per month 25.6% 17.7%
10-19 times per month 14.0% 16.2%
20-29 times per month 11.6% 16.2%
30+ times per month 9.3% 10.8%
Wow. I thought there’d be way fewer “zeros” among the men and way more “zeroes” with the ladies.
Every time? I often take showers 1) right before sex, and 2) right after sex.
Hard statistics! Gets right to the meat of it.
I have to ask – how did you learn this?

Do you get steamed up when you insert a tampon?
I assumed gigi was being sarcastic towards the posters who said "how can you not’’
I’m not a populist. Some things are objectively disgusting, and peeing in the shower is one of them.
There’s something so satisfying about the gender equality there. I’d half expect women to balk at admitting it, like they used to do for masturbation. Any scientific confirmation that women perform just as many “gross” bodily activities as men makes me happy.
