Of course, it would probably backfire, and everyone would end up Pitting me, and then I would lash back with long strings of obscenities, and then Miller would warn me again, and that would start the downward spiral where I hide in my basement for two months fondling my Uzi and sending ten page, single spaced letters to the White House written on yellow legal pads in my own blood, and the NSA would start tapping my phone and overhear me confessing my sins to the Psychic Hotline and arrest me and send me to Gitmo where Bricker would smuggle out my legal briefs written on toilet paper and it would lead to a landmark Supreme Court case imposing the death penalty for tele-marketers and I would be exonerated and write a tell-all memoir listing my sexual fantasies about Angela Merkel which would lead to a gig on Dancing With The Stars where I trip doing the tango and fall on top of my partner Michelle Obama and sprain her ankle and she has to miss the finale.
The only warning I have is for posting a jokey answer in GQ before the question was answered. I won’t point fingers at the mod by naming any names but it rhymes with Bam Phlegm.
From what I can see, i have no warnings issue to me - though I can’t actually see the infractions tab, or whatever it is. I did get one reminder about bumping a thread but I forgot to look at when the last post was. :smack: Learned my lesson about looking at how old a thread is!
I’ve been here for 9 years, going on 9000 posts. I’m low-key (some might say a wallflower), and I get out all my really actionable SDMB-centered rudeness elsewhere.

Posting in a “How many warnings do you have” thread matter-of-factly stating “One” when you’ve worn it on your sleeve since you got it was, as I took it, a very nice meta-joke. I apologize for assuming a fact that is apparently not in existence.
Not only that, but I dont think I am all that well known here- for a Charter Member that is. I’ll bet there are many readers and posters here who have no idea of who I am, and dont have any idea of the history behind my one warning.
Now yes, I did expect those who habituate ATMB to smile wryly at my post…but not actually break into laughter. You should get a PT job sitting in the front row at Comedy Clubs!

I don’t think warnings are something to be proud of…especially most of mine were pretty well deserved for being a total ass (my default state, sadly). Since what I take to be the new warning system was put in place sometime in the past I have 2 warnings that are officially in my User CP. I don’t know if they kept track of ones I had before that, but I know I had a long time ago but aren’t in my official record now.
I didn’t see any in my User CP, and can’t recall any other than an occasional “settle down” admonishment from a mod or two. Been here almost 15 years with an average of about 1,000 posts a year and barely a rap on the knuckles.
