How often do you change passwords - a secure MMP

The first round of storms just went through phila.. it was quite the exodus from the office. I got onto the shuttle just in time. We have a lull right now.

How are things in wv, jtc? I hear there were tornado touchdowns. Also in ky. Going to be a night. Tuned into Ryan hall, y’all on YouTube.

It is a sore throat indeed. The doctor thinks it could be from the wildfire smoke. I don’t have other symptoms.

I ran to Daughter’s to drop off some stuff and since Aldi is right across the street, I popped in for a couple of things. My total was $6.66 - I’m sure that would send some folks into conniptions!!

It rained while I drove down there and a bit less as I came home. T-boomers and maybe showers are forecast on and off thru morning. I guess we’ll see what will happen tomorrow. I won’t make plans till I see.

Well, except for this evening - plans include chillage. And some biking while watching BritBox. Thrills abound!

Opening the account at Chase this afternoon took three hours! Holy crap! My brain is numb and we didn’t even get to the credit card yet.

93F outside, so except to check the mailbox I have no intention of setting foot outside the Air-Conditioned confines. Have exercised, despite the weight gain per the gym scale (212.4lbs yesterday) my jeans are still loose-fitting so maybe the weight is migrating elsewhere. Need to start on soccer stuff for the upcoming Fall season, it starts getting active in August and gets underway in September, so not to far away. Each year I have to re-take several on-line courses (Safe Haven, Concussion, and Cardiac Arrest) for the new year (we start the playing year with the Fall season). Having trouble getting motivated, but once I start I’ll get it done. The starting is the hard part.

But I like bears…

FCM, sounds like you earned your cherries today.

Nut, glad the someone was helpful, not knowing what allergies he has I can only suggest a card and if reasonable, maybe a gift card inside. As for the workplace drama, HR will carefully consider all the evidence and then make the worst possible decision…at least that is what I would expect on this side of the pond.

shoe, Tuesdays is usually Stouffers Mac-n-Cheese (Large Size), but don’t get much else from them.

And of course, work…wait until you finally retire…

Cookie, hard to believe they took three hours to do a routine account opening. Never had a problem getting mine opened in much less than an hour. What did they want, a blood test or something?

And about time for Stouffer’s to be introduced to my microwave. Back later tonight.

Lots of noise and some rain. We are also in a lull. Nobody got to use their generators but the night is young.

I had some catnip drying under the carport. For some reason, Hubs thought it would dry better sitting on the dryer. Of course the fuzzbutts found it as soon as he turned his back. The house reeks and George is in a coma.

I really like that color. And I think it goes well with your feet.

MetalMouse IMO vacations are the time when you can splurge and enjoy some food/beverages that you nomally wouldn’t at home. Just so long as you get back on the fitness horse.

PASSWORDS - I hate them. At work I have, let’s see:
one to get on the computer-this one was assigned by IT 11 years ago; have to input this everyday
one to access the payroll software so I can punch in and out each day-I think this has to be changed annually; have to input this twice a day
one to access the software that my division uses-seems like this one has to be changed bi-annually; this one is ridiculous; has to have at least one capital, one lower case, one numeric and one special character and has to be at least 12 characters; have to input this one approximately once a week
one to access the credit card processor software-I used the same one that I use for the payroll software; have to input this one every day
one to access the organization’s financial software, except that now its on the cloud and so I just have to click some SSO link
one to access Chrome on the work computer; although I’m only asked to input this one approximately once a month, sometimes more frequently

last year my daughter & I went to a lavender farm festival. there were tons of vendors. the festival this year was weekend before last. a tornado was near and the resulting winds went through and 80% of the vendors lost everything. luckily there wasn’t any loss of life but there were a few injuries.

Pizza, Italian sausage & mushrooms, for dinner from Buddy’s. I sauteed red & yellow bell peppers and onions to put on top and I also made a cucumber, grape tomato, red onion salad tossed with Ranch dressing.

Now I need to fill Hubs pill boxes for the next 2 weeks.

I can see his logic. How did he forget that cats can get anywhere?

Reports of bad flooding in w.v..

Doc for me, Staples for the desktop.

I have to go get a pic line in the morning. It doesn’t take long to put in, but they will want me to stay for a while just to be safe. I’ll take Nelson with me to Sis’ so that he gets appropriate potty breaks. I’ll take my tablet for entertainment.

So far nobody has died, lets hope it stays that way. We’re getting a lot of rain and aren’t in a flood zone so should be fine. Roads are being closed around us and that poor apartment building by the Kroger already has water in the parking lot.

Those poor people, I’m sad for them. You don’t rent in a place like that if you have enough money to live elsewhere which means when they lose things, they don’t have the money to replace them.

This neighborhood is full of a bunch of old farts. You will notice that I didn’t say anything about women playing with their generators, right!

Oh geeze. I’ll stop whining, what you have going on is super worrisome, I’m just bored.

The cleaners come tomorrow, and when I walked to the mailbox after work I was happy to see that my new checks had arrived: now the one I leave for them (the only time I use checks anymore) will have my current/the correct address. Even though it really wouldn’t matter if I used up the last of the old checks first. My checks were the last address change I needed to make, and I like that everything is updated now…plus, I like the new design of the “default”/free checks (it had been quite a while since I’d ordered any). Sometimes it’s the little things.

I was also happy that the weather cooperated when I left the office. Shortly before I walked out of the building there was thunder and heavy rain, but by the time I got outside – for the short, unprotected walk to the garage – the rain had stopped, and the skies in the direction of home were dry and still alight. And I was able to walk to my mailbox and back without a drop from the heavens.

It’s currently raining (at 8pm), and there is thunder. There’s a high chance of “strong storms” right about now…we’ll see.

I don’t buy it from you for one minute, but I will have to remember to steal that! :joy:

Thanks…but what kind of f**ked up plant doesn’t like light!?! :joy: Luckily, my current desk’s windowsill doesn’t ever get direct sunlight – and in a few months my team will be moving to a classified space with covered windows, so I shouldn’t have to worry about the plant at work.

PREACH! I’ve been wondering that for years!

That. Does. Not. Count.

()

My credit union is based in Maryland (I live in Virginia) and the only branches are in that state, but luckily the “mother ship” isn’t too far away if I ever need it. I don’t remember the last time I set foot in a branch, though!

That might be acceptable. I would have to try one to finalize my ruling.

NOPE.

()

LOL!! :joy:

Men and their toys.

When we got a new-fangled fryer cleaner about half a year ago at work, the guys were practically shoving each other to try out the new gadget.

Women: “Oh, naw, honey, you go right on ahead.”

Last four days straight I’ve been awoken by neighbors:

motorcycle VROOM or these 3-wheel things getting popular, or leaf blowers, or a whole-ass driving mower for a yard where if you go “Pfftt” you spit across the other side.

I have much dog toy shrapnel in three rooms of the house, must break out the roll-suck machine. My giant nose is almost done with the carving part, soon to start with the firberglassing part.

Then the biiig question…what color should it be? I’m sure there will be many discussions about that, since this will be a travelling exhibit and all the text is english/spanish. I purposefully made it as generic as I could, I’ve been spending way too much time in the last couple of weeks looking at people’s noses and trying to come up with an average. I think I found average “man”. Took some from Michealangelo’s David, some from coworkers, online sources, spent a lot of time feeling my own nose to find contours.

I’ve been voting for cartoony, but don’t seem to be getting much traction.

I’m also covered in foam dust. Sitting on the porch and throwing a ball for Ms Peach, I rubbed my beard and there was a lot of dust that came out, even after shooting myself with the compressed air in the shop.

My new neighbors, who for some reason painted the house black,
have started with this BS. They’ve got a motorcycle and, I think, a corvette, haven’t seen it well enough to tell what sort of shitty sports car it is. Both with substandard mufflers. Yeah, dude revving your bike in rural upstate NY makes you really cool.

You can HEAR how tiny his lil pecker is.

About thirty years ago, the down the street neighbor bought a Harley and felt the need to rev it for ten minutes before riding it around the block and then revving it again in his driveway.

I get new toys and gave him a couple of days to get the noise out of his system but he kept it up. The next Saturday I heard him starting the noise again, so I put my biker garb on, hopped on my sporty and rode over to give him sympathy about his timing being so bad. Then I pulled my tool kit out of my saddle bag and offered to help him tune it up enough that he could trust it to idle on its own like mine was.

He had a couple of friends over (which is why I waited for the weekend) who just died laughing and the noise stopped that day.

So we have gotten half an inch of rain in the last ten minutes. I think I’ll ask Hubs to bring the carriers in. I know we won’t need them, but it won’t hurt to have them handy if the lights go out and I want to head west for the next day or so.

Howdy Y’all! Been home for a while after feedin’ the urchins, but needed to chillax. I got a lot of thank yous and a few hugs for the burgers and dawgs. That’s the reason I do it folks! No amount of money is better than a thank you and a hug. Clean up was not too bad tonight either. Tomorrow is lasagna night. There are four big boxes (don’t judge!) of lasagna in da freezer at the church house. Lasagna, sallit, fruit, garlic bread, red velvet cupcakes and strawberry lemonade are on the menu tomorrow. Nobody can said we don’t feed the little knee nibblers well.

I’m at IHOP because nobody’s cooked for me in a hot minute. Eggs, bekkkkon, and a lovely cuppa hot tea. And a chocolate pancake, because despite being 40-mumble years old, CHOCOLATE PANCAKE!!

ETA I forgot they have strawberries syrup, and if you don’t think imma drown my chocolate pancake in strawberry and melted butter, we can’t be friends.

Went to urgent care as the rash on my ankles and legs looked bad.
Thought I’d walked through a toxic plant.
No, its where not enough blood circulates up from your feet. Not dangerous, just wear compression leggings.

That sounds awesome! Enjoy!

Up from naptime. Well, at least up after Spot got his cuddles. I’m having a Manhattan and Southwest style chicken, rice, and beans. Spot is having dry, flavorless bits.

HARDER, DADDY!

Wanna do that for the dude with the Challenger across the street?

{{{{Coppertone}}}}

Nothing wrong with it.

Thank you!

Double yoga’d. Fed. Hunkering down for a thunderstorm about to come through.
