I woke up at 630a.m. Got dressed, did bathroom stuff, left the house at 655a.m. to go to school. No more than 4 minutes after listening to the radio did I hear that the Guns N’ Roses was cancelled. But to make matters worse–TONIGHT WAS THE NIGHT I WAS SUPPOSED TO SEE THEM AT THE MCI CENTER IN WASHINGTON D.C. I hadn’t been awake for more than 30 minutes when my entire day and the last 15 years of my life had been ruined. I wanted to drive off a cliff. I still want to. I could never see them growing up b/c Mom wouldn’t let me, now i’m 21, i buy my own ticket, own transportation, been waiting 15 years to see Axl in person, and it won’t happen. Damn that Chinese Democracy

I saw them when the toured with Metallica back in the day. Don’t worry about it. You’re not missing much.

I got my ticket thru TicketMaster and paid with credit card, so the transaction is refunded automatically.

Damn, I’m so out of it. First I thought, <<Chinese Democracy? Guns N Roses? Cancelled concert?>>…Ah, must be because of some demonstration,… maybe because Axl’s clothes are made by forced chinese laborers?..Or is Axl the new head of the CCP?..but no! it’s better! It’s the name of their new album!

Muldoon, I feel your pain. I can only hope that in a few years gnr is a little more organized so that if they tour again they actually show up.
After doing a google search one site says that a statement from the band is expected tomorrow, but its speculated that Axl was having health issues.
Maybe it had something to do with the riot at GM Place in Vancouver?

On my last day living in Las Vegas, Tool was scheduled to play. I had been waiting months for this show. I even planned my moving date to accommodate it. The day of the show, I got up and was on Cloud Nine… til I turned on the radio. :mad: 
Cancelled! Arrggghh! It was re-scheduled for a date long after my move. My lucky friend, Mike inherited my ticket - bastard. He said the show was amazing.
I have never seen Tool to this day
Actually, I just heard that the whole tour was cancelled due to another “no-show” riot in Philadelphia. (or wherever the latest concert was supposed to be) You have to wonder if Axl Rose and / or the band) shows up for their concerts.

I lost $5 or so from Ticketmaster when they cancelled a show I was supposed to go to right after 9/11. Some of the fees or something were non-refundable. OTOH, I have a pristine ticket for a concert.
