As an asian male, the existence of this book makes me cry inside…
Worth clicking on the link just to see the cover!
What do customers ultimately buy after viewing items like this?
36% buy Civilization IV Official Strategy Guide (Official Strategy Guides (Bradygames))
29% buy The Mathematics of Poker
28% buy Pressure Poker: Poker Strategy and Tools to Improve Your Game
This seems to explain a lot. Put down the video games and cards, go talk to a girl!
I dunno. I’m not sure why you, as an Asian male, should get special dispensation to avoid being the target of utterly stupid and demeaning advice. The self-help sections of the bookstores are certainly filled with condescending junk aimed at the rest of us. (Check the reviews–no one who was capable of writing a coherent sentence gave it a good review. Then check out the inverse book and scroll down to the “Customers who bought this item also bought” section.) I suspect that the stereotype of the Asian guy pining/lusting after white women is bigger in the minds of white folks than Asians, anyway.)
I was disgusted until I read tomndebb’s post. Now I’m just :D. He’s right, as usual. (Stop being reasonable all the time, wouldja?)
What I love is that they recommend buying it together with “The Complete Asshole’s Guide to Handling Chicks.” WTF?
I like their two-fer special:
“Buy this book with The Complete A**hole’s Guide to Handling Chicks by Dan Indante today! Buy Together Today: $28.23”
Actually, this looks intriguing…
Almost makes me wish I was an asshole.
Oh man, now those whiteboys are trying to take our women. Now I’m gonna have to go buy that book and steal your wimmens.
Paul, I noticed that too. It’s cuz I heard white chicks love nerdy gamblers.
Thankfully I already have a SO, who’s half-black and half-white so I guess half the battle is won(?)
I just love this review:
Glad to know Crazy Ed is making good use of that thesaurus he bought on Amazon…
I can’t believe this is something Asian guys would actually concern themselves with. I’m saddened that to “date a White woman” is something to which a man of any race would aspire. Eeesh! This smacks of all kinds of psychological and emotional issues.
Oh, I don’t know. I admit that I’m overgeneralizing broadly, but lots of Asian dudes grow up in homes where their parents inculcate them with one message about the relative wealth of men and women, but they then have trouble dealing with American society, where the sexes are thought of more equitably – except in romantic relationships, where women are generally assumed to have the upper hand. American men generally might benefit from a romance instruction manual with the message “Dude, she’s not going to treat you like mommy does,” Asian-American men even more so.

Oh my god! I’m having trouble breathing here.
Thank you for this! It’s like the Holy Grail for Asian men (like me!). I can’t wait to get out there and pick up some of these “white women” you speak of! But first I must study math and work really hard so I can buy more dry cleaner stores. Sweet!
I prefer “How to Pick Up Japanese Chicks and Doom Your Immortal Soul”.
So, where can I find this book? I’ve a few ‘prospects’ I can try my lessons on.
To some, perhaps that is something to which they aspire.
For many others though, it’s simply a matter of having more dating options. Like it or not, the dating pool for Asian men tends to be more limited than for other races. (Yeah, yeah, I know. Some dopers deny that Asian men have a tougher time than whites, black or Latinos. Personally though, I think this is fairly self-evident.)
I’ve read that WM-AF pairings are about seven times more common than AM-WF couples. With their options being much more restricted, why wouldn’t Asian men hope to date white women?
If I were Asian, I would by this book just to leave it on my desk at work.
False advertising! I was expecting a “How-to”.
Actually, this I might buy and read.

And you guys wonder I plot to conquer the Earth.
Seriously? I’ve never heard this or noticed this.
Mind you, I’m not an Asian man.
Humm, I wonder if the Chinese guy I used to date read that book…maybe I should call and ask him. Imagine how THAT conversation would go…
