Excellent idea.
What’s the best day to give someone bad news? Yesterday. Get the load off.
Hey, if you’re wondering about next year’s vacation, you’ve been permanently voted off the island.
The fact is that you ruined everybody’s vacation last year. EVERYBODY’s. I love you but you can’t expect people on vacation to accept an armed rude drunk as a party member and that goes doubly for me. You embarrassed the fuck out of me and if you weren’t my brother I would have called the police and had you removed.
I don’t want to hear any bellyaching about this. So drop it. I’m not going to discuss it further with you. Consider it one of life’s lessons and the less it’s discussed the better. I’m telling you privately so as not to make it any worse. You screwed up, it can’t be undone and it’s not going to change.
I’d let everyone know ahead of time so they can’t shut him down if he starts calling them. They can say: “your sister said you didn’t care what other people think so I’m not sure why you’re calling”. “We don’t mean you any ill will but we’re not investing in a vacation to get away from the hassles of the world when you bring it along with you. We understand you’re having problems but it’s not going to be at our expense.”
Bump.
Is the deed done?
How did it go?
Not yet … today is the anniversary of our brother’s passing. It’s been a rough month for us, and I’m not ready to saddle him with the bad news yet.
Why yes, I am a horrible procrastinator.
There is a time to every purpose. And this definately ain’t it for that one.
Condolences for your loss.
I’ll bump again in a month if there’s no update.
