I think she means that child starts don’t live out in regular society, interacting with all kinds of people in mundane situations. Social behavior is learned through experience, and they tend not to have the same kinds of experiences as everyone else.

That’s exactly what I meant. No matter how obnoxious or over-the-top we adults think teens behave, there are limits and peers set and enforce those limits.
