Off to start my quest for a new tea shop. I have two weeks to get my thesis abstract written and then it’s defense time. It’s much like Hammer Time in that there will be something (a dead horse) beaten with a blunt object.
But do you get to dance sideways in ultra-wide pants during the defense? That would be teh c00lest thesis defense EVAH!
I want an iAlpaca, doggio! That’d be awesome. I’m not sure what it’d do, but it’d be awesome anyway.
I was so tired after work yesterday that I was lying down by 8 and, after getting back up to brush my teeth, in bed with lights out before 9. Ugh. I’m mostly better this morning. I’m really looking forward to my half-day Firday this week!

I’m caffeinated, partially (LOL only 1 mug of coffee today) and I’m at work, although more than a bit damp. Yes, I got caught in the downpour of rain this morning on the way to work. Unfortunately, the only change of clothes I had at work was a top and shorts from the days when I was working out in the fitness center at work - about 10 years ago. :eek: Needless to say, they’re a -bit- tight! I actually have the shorts on underneath my wet slacks–it’s not too bad, at least it’s dry underneath, right? Hehe, this is probably TMI, but oh well! I should have the new bathing suit by next week, hopefully.
Thank Og today is my FIRDAY. And may I add to the chorus: “enough with the rain already!!!” LOL I’ll probably be singing a different tune come mid-August though.
The fun never stops in Cottonfield County. I just answered a call from the DA’s office that I have a subpoena waitng for me, and the trial about the shooting last year has come up again on the docket for the week of July 6th. :rolleyes:
I sat on my ass in the courtroom right after New Year’s to be ready to testify, only to see it continued, and the date they talked about then was when we went to Indianner in March. I assumed that since it’s now late June, the SOB had copped a plea by now. :smack::mad:
This time, at least, they said I needed to stay near a phone and be able to get my tookus to court when they call. Didn’t say that last time, hence the wasted day…
The super says there were delays in getting the new windows, and I think this constant rain is a problem in getting them installed. We’re definitely not moving in this weekend, and probably it will be at the very end of the month. That’s more normal and gives my girlfriend more time to pack, but I was hoping to get it out of the way sooner, since I’ve been living out of boxes and a suitcase for about three weeks. As of yesterday, the apartment is about 70 percent done, with the fridge and stove waiting to be installed, the bathroom about half finished, the cabinets aren’t done yet and one closet door has to be put on. But they’re working seven days a week, the paint has arrived, and I should be able to pick up our keys today.
Could be worse Marley. You could be buildin’ a house and have to go look at door knobs, hinges, drawer pulls, tiny swatches of wallpaper and carpet, bricks and mortar, vinyl siding, carpet padding, light fixtures, switchplates and on and on and on…
Howdy Y’all! Know what? It appears that a lot of people are gettin’ smart about this whole iPhone hoopla. I noticed this while monitoring calls today. People were actually taking the advice to order online as opposed to going to the store if at all possible. Only those who’s lives will end tragically, horribly and in much agony if they just can’t have a new one tomorrow seem to be worried about when they’ll get 'em. It’s like people have realized they could live until one day next week to get their new toy! Whoddathunkit! 
Oh and hotdawgs for dindin tonight cause I’s to lazy to do anything else.

I did make an executive decision to take tomorrow afternoon off. The place is gonna be dead with a bunch of folks at the picnic thingie. So I’ll leave right before lunch and come home and… I dunno, but I’ll be home.

Yeah, I wish it was getting done sooner, but I’m not complaining. Picking out the paint colors was all I could handle. The furniture is going to be almost exclusively up to my girlfriend.
I know it’s correct to have an accent over the “e” in decor, but I’m getting really sick of Word and Excel auto correcting to put it in. It looks fine without the accent, and it looks kind of pretentious with it. And yes, I could shut off the autocorrect, but that would take time and effort that I’d rather spend complaining about it on a message board.

SIL has gone to dine with daughter. I’m taking **FCD **to Bert’s for a burger and a sundae. Or a milkshake. We’ll decide when we get there.
What’s to decide? Have the shake with the burger and the sundae for dessert. Sheesh! I would have thought that would be obvious! 
I had two chilidawgs for dindin. The chili was in the freezer and I even had the forethought to defrost and nuke it. Go me. Anywho, it was two chili/cheese/oniondawgs. Bet y’all are glad to be nowhere near me right now.

What a couple of weeks- hubby’s been the UK and then DC, we had son’s 8th grade graduation, went to a party, hosted a party, hubby left for Lisbon, found out that there’s been a rash of break in’s in the area (my friend’s house was hit), so i can’t sleep while hubby’s gone. I’s exhausted!
He comes back tonight. Phew!

I believe that the iPhone furor has died down because everyone has read that you do not like iPhones and has also read the specifics on how to obtain them, swampy.

Back from supper. swampy, I can’t handle both a milkshake and a sundae. So I opted for the milkshake, and a chickie sammich. I am stuffed, but tummy is happy.
We closed the house and turned on the a/c because it is a bit humid. I’m hoping I can open up again when we go to bed.
Since I’m taking off early tomorrow and since daughter has to be at school, I’m going to take her to lunch. Mother-daughter bonding time, you know.

But it is beeeeeeeyutiful here today. Sunny, bright, and 64. It’s about time. It’s only been raining every day this month. I didn’t sign up for daily rain – it’s not like I’m in Seattle. (I like Seattle, don’t hit me!)
I can’t keep track of everything that’s been happening to everybody so appropriate hugs and whatevers all around.
I mowed da yahd. Go me. Now I’m all showered and clean. Soon it shall be beddy bye time. I must get my beauty rest. After all, tomorrow is iDay.
Soapy for all my hatred of ‘em due to work, I do have to admit that the iPhone 3g S seems to be pretty cool. That is if you want a shiny toy/phone with all the bells and whistles. I’m guessin’ that’s what you’re gettin’ since you’re gettin’ it on iDay.
