I also received a weird email (not a scam, just weird)

The other thread started on this board made me remember an anonymous email I received several years ago,it looks like gibbierish and I could never figure out what (if anything) it meant. So, if anyone wants to give this thing a read(translate?) I’d be interested in your opinion.

I Googled the subject line “iyo batid na,” and based on that it seems like your message is in Tagalog, a language spoken in the Philippines.

Probably someone will come along who actually knows something about Tagalog, so I shall bow out now.

Huh, would you look at that? I never thought it might be an actual language… Now if I could just find a translator…

i tried babelfish for ya, doesnt have tagalog or any related language group. but its also possible that the message was in english but got eaten somewhere along the line between it being typed and you recieving it.

I tried translating it here:

Hmmm…I can follow it up through the greeting, after which it doesn’t make a goddamn bit of sense.

Yes, this is Tagalog. Here’s as near an idiomatic translation as I can make it, punctuation and all:

Well, I guess that takes care of that. And here I thought it would be something more intersesting than a mis-addressed personal email. ::shrugs::
Thanks for the help!
