This is what The Pimp Bible says about this:

There are two types of alliance thugs, offensive and defensive. It has nothing to say about keeping alliances thru a move though.

Anyhoo, if makes a HUGE difference if you’re scouting for hoes…you won’t make much money, but using 4 turns I came out with 4 hoes and 2 thugs.

Also, the system won’t let you go to 100%, you’ll have to use 99%.
