I don't quite get today's "Questionable Content" strip

Yeah. Evie’s complete inability to take a hint had her pissed before she had a chance to notice Melon’s presence.

I think Faye’s dog analogy is a pretty accurate description of her own situation…

Called it.

I seem to have forgotten (understandably, given the point that Jeph himself mentions in the commentary)…when did Dale start working at Coffee of Doom?

Forever ago and only occasionally referenced since then in typical Jeph style.

…back when I liked the drawing style better for some reason I can’t put my finger on.

54 strips later…

Hey, who remembers that May started out as a virtual assistant interface?

Man…4 years ago. Time progresses so slowly…

The May as the AR assistant arc was the best thing he’s ever written, IMHO.

I’m glad Marigold is back.

I had forgotten that Emily is now working at Coffee of Doom, and totally did not recognize her last Friday when she and Dale did the face-off. I would have enjoyed it much more if I had (Emily and Dale are probably my favorite secondary/tertiary characters).

Jeph has GOT to stop changing Emily’s hair. Aside from that, I only recognize her because she’s really tall. When she’s next to extremely tall Dale, I lose that signifier too.

Dale looks weird without his mustache.

I recognize her by her eyes and hair color. She’s about as Asian-looking as Jeph is willing to draw without risking a racist depiction.

It also helps I remembered her hairstyle from last time, nearly 100 strips ago. Oh, and I use the Questionable Extension, because every other webcomic I read tags their characters in some way.

Still, the last time I had trouble recognizing Emily was back when he was changing everyone’s hairstyle. She and Dora looked alike for a while, when the art quality slipped.

Oh, that was Emily! I thought it was Raven. I completely forgot about Emily.

Hannalore sighting today. Looking buff.

Surprise! She’s at the San Diego zoo working as a volunteer!

I’ve been to the San Diego Zoo. They have bathrooms with flush toilets. I think Hanners is in a somewhat more rustic locale.

Regardless, I’m delighted to see her, and looking somewhat content.

I never even thought she was handling human poo in that statement.

Did you somehow get the idea that the San Diego Zoo & WILD Animal Park domesticates their critters at all, let alone so thoroughly that they use a latrine?

ETA: Sorry; my tone in that post strikes me as a little more acerbic than I had intended.

Heh, I WAS just joking! Little winky guy and everything!

Who is the person comforting Bubbles in today’s strip?
