Never got past her jealosy of Faye, abusive and contoling of her honestly devoted boyfriend, insecure, controling (or attempted controling) of Sven and his relationships, openly and enthisasticly lusting after her boyfriend’s mother…
Yeah, she’s got problems alright.
IRT Faye, I had a girlfriend like that once. Except her problem wasn’t around commitment, or watching her father’s suicide. It was that whenever she felt strong emoutions, she’d lock-up on her ability to communicate, and would get intensely frustrated. It was not at all uncommon to get punched, then immediately recieve a full-on flying liplock. Of course, if she was sad, it would be ‘punch’ followed by ‘sobbing girl in your arms.’ Sometimes which was followed by ‘punch’ and ‘flying liplock.’ Weird relationship - To say the least.
Eh, that doesn’t work with some comics for me. Particularly in ones with extended plot arcs, often I just can’t stay interested in a day-to-day read. I got to let the archive build up for a few months, then read a whole bunch in a single go. QC isn’t like that for me, but stuff like Schlock Mercenary I visit every three months or so and do a big catch-up read from where I left off. If I try to read it daily, I lose track of what’s going on when the action shifts between subplots.
Every single time I see a strip about 400 strips behind the current strips, the first thing I think is “they look like the middle school versions of themselves.” Does anyone else get that? I think the heads are getting more into adult proportion as time goes on- at least, that’s what makes the most sense.
I don’t know about that, but Angus’ left hand, forearm and/or elbow are swollen, judging by the direction of Faye’s eyes in panel 4. Or Angus has an 18" ‘writing partner’.
When I accidentally press the “first” button instead of the “previous” button the first thing I think is, “Holy crap, how is this even the same strip?”
I was trying to figure out how her shirt was showing so much more cleavage in panel one, when I realized I was actually seeing Angus’s arm as part of Faye.
