I don't quite get today's "Questionable Content" strip

Never got past her jealosy of Faye, abusive and contoling of her honestly devoted boyfriend, insecure, controling (or attempted controling) of Sven and his relationships, openly and enthisasticly lusting after her boyfriend’s mother

Yeah, she’s got problems alright.

IRT Faye, I had a girlfriend like that once. Except her problem wasn’t around commitment, or watching her father’s suicide. It was that whenever she felt strong emoutions, she’d lock-up on her ability to communicate, and would get intensely frustrated. It was not at all uncommon to get punched, then immediately recieve a full-on flying liplock. Of course, if she was sad, it would be ‘punch’ followed by ‘sobbing girl in your arms.’ Sometimes which was followed by ‘punch’ and ‘flying liplock.’ Weird relationship - To say the least.

re #1842, Wow, we haven’t seen that hat for quite some time.

I think Dora was a lot cuter back then. But thanks for the callback, I had completely forgotten that the hat had made an appearance before.

Although… why are they suddenly wearing hats all of the sudden? An attempt to diffuse the Awkward Zone?

Also, Faye has gotten a lot more Rubenesque over the years.

Apparently, it doesn’t work without a monocle.

Really, they messed up the whole ritual - First you must find some common ground, however tenuous, then apply fancy outfits. Hats alone just won’t do.

Got a solution for ya. Bookmark QC and just read it every day. Takes thirty seconds, tops.

Eh, that doesn’t work with some comics for me. Particularly in ones with extended plot arcs, often I just can’t stay interested in a day-to-day read. I got to let the archive build up for a few months, then read a whole bunch in a single go. QC isn’t like that for me, but stuff like Schlock Mercenary I visit every three months or so and do a big catch-up read from where I left off. If I try to read it daily, I lose track of what’s going on when the action shifts between subplots.

I kind of like that, though. Back then, all the characters looked to have the same body type…Skinny. The only way to tell them apart was the hair.

Won’t keep me from feeling twice as old as the characters.

Every single time I see a strip about 400 strips behind the current strips, the first thing I think is “they look like the middle school versions of themselves.” Does anyone else get that? I think the heads are getting more into adult proportion as time goes on- at least, that’s what makes the most sense.

True. But you’ll be able to get it over with right away, and not waste three hours at it.

Don’t want to risk missing the Early Bird Special at Denny’s, after all.

Faye’s breasts appear to be located somewhere around her navel today. (strip 1851)

I don’t know about that, but Angus’ left hand, forearm and/or elbow are swollen, judging by the direction of Faye’s eyes in panel 4. Or Angus has an 18" ‘writing partner’.

When I accidentally press the “first” button instead of the “previous” button the first thing I think is, “Holy crap, how is this even the same strip?”

I think you need to look at where her hand is likely to be.

I was trying to figure out how her shirt was showing so much more cleavage in panel one, when I realized I was actually seeing Angus’s arm as part of Faye.

Hey! I LIKE the dry toast, basted egg special!

…So now Faye decides she doesn’t feel ready to have sex yet? :dubious:

Evidently what Momo-Tan saw the other day wasn’t as steamy as I imagined.
