I had to go back and re-read the past weeks worth of comics because I couldn’t remember when Dora appeared at the station. It was a bit of a surprise to have her show up out of nowhere and get $4.6 million for some unremembered insult.
I’m with Little Nemo - there are apparently a few “standard” body/facial types in QC (though Jeph keeps experimenting with them), and Lt. Potter did not trigger any particular Dora signals.
Then again, many followers of the strip do seem eager to tag every dark-haired female that’s introduced as some sort of Alt-Dora.
Their noses and chin lines are dissimilar. And Potter seems short and buxom, not as much as Faye or Marigold but she’s definitely not tall and thin like Dora.
I think it’s the sleeveless t-shirt. Though upon some basic research, Dora doesn’t actually seem to wear them that often. Though I remembered her wearing them often, so that still counts.
More likely, the coloring.

Though, I don’t see a big resemblance resemblance either.
Huh, Friday’s comic is a weird cliff-hanger to end the week. I’m betting the head of security knows Marigold somehow. Perhaps a WOW player with a grudge, like that tall black “Alliance Scum” dude.
Strange also how that soldier looked exactly like Dora, except in every important detail.
And of course Potter’s reaction next time we see her is going to be “Whoa… wait up there, AI, you were a little crass but it wasn’t anything I deserved to be made an instant millionaire over, even though I realize you’ll never miss it…” :dubious:
Since she’s now rich, she finagles her way out of duty immediately. When Marten, Marigold, and Hanners return to Earth, she’s with them on the shuttle flight. She gets to talking with Marten, they flirt a bit based off the picture Station flashed (which was a damn good picture, girl’s got legs), and since Potter’s loaded now she decides to move to Marten’s town and Marten winds up being her boytoy.
